Most of the stuff they could maintain the proper care with, is as well existent at my places - and as such most of the time there's just no need to visit any medical professional. Always got the mindset of "what you can learn to handle / do professionally yourself, won't take another persons time - and your money".
No panic, I was on the way to veterinary once myself, so if there's a reason to assume a blood poisoning or necrosis, I won't reject proper care.
