A Harris' s Hawk....Gorgeous birds that hunt in pairs and sometimes in whst you might call "packs"....they're cooperative enough to have been the models for 'Jurrassic Park's ' Raptors. I thought it was a Harris, but had to look it up...one doesnt see this angle, unless one is about to be lunch.

They aren't quite native to Nevada. they seem to be South of the Grand Canyon in Arizona.
