Oh, I know, and hear what you're saying...

I don't think I'm so much in the actual minority, but yes, definitely in the minority when it comes to those that speak out..

Case in point, I've been zoo since, oh 1987 or so..

Been actively practicing for several years, however never joined any forum or anything at all really until I came here months ago..

Makes me think that there's plenty out there that are comfortable in what they're doing and don't need or want to be part of something like this, whereas the pervs NEED something like this..

Or at least that's my theory on the disproportionate numbers...
 
Honestly if someone wants to use their human bits for their PFP, you can do one of 2 things:
1. Slap them on ignore.
2. Using a decent, free adblocker, blacklist their avatar.

If someone is also a raging dickweed, I'll do the first. Maybe roast their bits, then slap them on ignore. Otherwise, cockblocker adblocker to the rescue!

It would be easier to just forbid NSFW avatars and avoid the drama.
I mean, all the porn is not visible without an account, but you can see porn in profile pictures anyway in the general section as a visitor, which doesn't speak very well to them.

To be honest several mods have said including me that this is not going to happen or is very unlikely to happen.
So I do not think there is a point in continuing this discussion anymore.

Following was complained about fir years, then he finally budged and at least restricted lurkers against it.

It's ridiculous to not at least install the addon the would give users the OPTION to auto blur that shit.

Addons are usually paid components which the admins have to either buy or pay for monthly. Which is an extra cost for the forum. Also they have to be compatible with the current version of the forum.

The one that took me 5 minutes to find and link on page 3 is all of $25. If the site doesn't have $25 to spend to protect its usrrs against sexual harassment then it's in huge fucking trouble.

And if that one isn't compatible, though it has multiple iterated versions with the last update in dec so it should be, then spend more than the 5 minutes it took me to find and find one compatible. If there's one addon they'll be others.

Mods do not have the ability to install these or make these decisions. Wait for ZTHorse.

Yes, and do you remember why? Cause frankly I’m still a lil pissed off about how you all handled that situation with the puppy porn supporter.
If we’re gonna get into this, explain why it’s ok to harass members before a thread is sent to the dumpster fire? Are regular members allowed to determine what’s DF material themselves? Also, are mods allowed to body shame, or just be generally shitty people outside of the DF? Asking for a friend ?

So this adult forum which is reasonably open to sharing of views, ideas, help and suggestions has a bunch of people that wish to censor and ban those who show genitals? Also these images may or may not be the poster's actualy image. But on the flip side, you are allowed to post those genitals or other people's in forums and messages (to which they don't own the rights to those images or intellectual property). I've had pictures and videos clips which were taken from another site and posted in a forum and that's ok but any skin or image of nudity will not be allowed? Didn't know the Inquisition was still around

I think the hope is that if enough people continue to voice this opinion that ZTHorse will eventually realize that there are far more people who are bothered by it than would be upset by banning genital photos as PFP.

As I said before, I think it'd be interesting to see where in the ranking the people dicks as PFPs are in forum usage/activity.
Just to know... if you the member list was sorted two times: 1) post count 2) reaction score... How far down each sorting would the first person with a dick as a PFP be?
I think that'd be a quick and easy way to see how important the people who would be upset would be.
Maybe I'm wrong and they're the backbone of the community... but I doubt it.

It doesn't even have to be banned. Just give us a toggleable setting that will lets us choose not to have our eyes assualted while reading a "what book are you reading" thread just because it happens to be on an "adult" site. As I've said many times, even HOOKUP sites offer a toggle to not see random nudity. Hell, grindr, the king of gay hookup, doesn't even allow nude profile pictures.
