I'm 50, and I recently became zoo-exclusive. I've had a hard road in life relationship-wise, and the more I deal with most people, the more I love dealing with and solely being with my animals. No, I don't think it fades with age.
If you are a true zoophile then your love of animals will always be a part of who you are. If you’re a “zoo” that just likes it as a kink/fetish then I imagine some people grow tired of it as it loses its luster for them.
I don’t really think it’s an urge ?? Unless this is some sort of kink / fetish for you.
I believe it’s part of your sexuality. For example, I am a Bi-sexual man. I prefer men but I have known this information since elementary school. I’ve always liked both genders.
When it comes to zoo, I have always been incredibly connected with nature and animals — Not in a romantic way. As I got a bit older even before puberty I found certain animal characters attractive and during puberty I got into the furry aspect of things and despised that I liked the feral side. It was always a battle because I hated liking men and I hated that I had romantic interests in animals.
Just like being bi sexual — Zoo was baked into that as well.
I think a good chunk of people are just born this way, just like being born being into a specific sex.
We either accept & love ourselves or push it away and never live happy.
