But something I hadnt considered until now are cats. I'm not a big fan of dog farts. My girl can let some go that will peel the paint off of the walls, I certainly don't want my face closer to the source when it's being released.

Yeah, like, for some reason cat poop doesn't smell bad to me, but other animals do.
 
With my experiences when a dog farts they usually always give the sad guilty look but when a horse does it they literally don't care & will probably look back at you all smug ,like what you gonna do about it smol hooman? Any species farts are not a turn on but tbh clean horse bum does smell nice & it's always a gamble sticking your face behind any animal since they can't tell you they're gonna rip one or a few
