So the benefit of the inverted question mark is that you don't have to get to the end of the sentence to reallze that it should have been read as a question and not a statement.

I believe decriminalization of possessing cannabis (or whatever drug that's going legalized ?) has some societal and individial advantages, but I'm very much opposed to the legalization of selling and producing it.
