Where Does Your Username Come From

The importance of cryptography for actual freedom and how it will evolve with quantum computing. I won't dox myself but I study just that.

There have been past threads with this same question, but I want to bring it up again.

Mine is is just part of my normal username that I use regularly, just a few letters shifted. I wanted something that I could remember, but completely unattached to any other part of my digital presence.

I might have replied to this one already. Mine just suits my personality.

If I'm not on the move (on fire) then I'm not happy.

Archers are that way.

I signed up in the middle of the night in the time zone I was in, with only the intent to observe and learn more by lurking. I intended to be a stranger. I wanted a touch of mystique and felt the name matched that as well.

I was in a zoo group a while back and we had an ethics discussion board that I spent a lot of time in. I get kinda philosophical with some of my answers so someone gave me the moniker “the Zooey Philosopher” and I thought it sounded funny so it stuck.

Mine is in reference to canines and dogs and the word hard but I changed the H for an X just to be a little spicy. Its a silly name that is sligtly pun like.

As a kid, I came across an entry in the town library's encyclopedia about the myth of Pasiphae and the white bull of Poseidon. She was cursed to fall in love with the bull and she got a famous inventor named Daedelus(multiple spellings) to make her a hollow cow she could climb into so she could be bred by the bull. This breeding resulted in the birth of the Minotaur. I was fascinated by mythology ever since and I have no doubt this is where my obsession with the zoo universe began.
