What was your first furry experience?

For me, I came across some stories on Writing.com that involved furries and I was curious about what it was so I looked it up. This was back in 2007. I joined the community in 2008 and I have been hooked ever since. What I love most about the fandom is the creativity that goes into everyone's characters.
 
Man if only I could remember that far back. I have a feeling it was when I was 15 or so when I heard the term “furry” being thrown around so I started doing some research and changed forever. Furry icons like Krystal and Renamon definitely had a part to play too.

For me, it was Furcadia - a super old social game where you got to create a furry avatar and wander around and meet people and chat and interact as a wolf or fox or cat - I made a leopard avatar and was hooked from that point on x3

i dont remember but i bet it was some thred on 4chan...while im not a furry(in the fursona sense), i do love the content
 
i was about 12 years old when i was looking on the internet for some pictures of midnight lycanroc until i found one that caught my attention, i searched for the artist and found out that he was a furry artist. this is how i discovered fandom
 
God this is funny. My mom told me that looking at porn of women was bad and my adolescent brain is like "cool animals are hot anyway" so I start looking up generic photos of animals mating and until I somehow ended up looking at a fantasy photo of a dragon with a cock. I have no clue where this came from but oh buddy did It spark a whole new generation of Google searches that turned into browsing furry porn websites. Been a die hard fan ever since
 
I roleplayed Pokemon and Digimon like really really young and found furry art communities when I was like 11, by the time I was like 13 I had already found like old school chat rooms where people shared furry art and played like old games called MUD's.

I played Furcadia! - dang that's going back some years!
For me it was watching the Lion king.
By the way Furcadia is still running!
 
Oh, I can't really remember how I made contact with the furry scene - I say scene as I am definitely not part of the fandom - but back then I landed on yiffstar.com which is nowadays running under SoFurry, became a resident there with furry (in my case scalie) alter ego and did some roleplay sessions in the chat. It was quite a safe haven with friends during my teenage years when I came to realize I was gay. Since then I've become a consumer of lewd furry art. And that since over 20 years already.
 
Woke up one morning to my ex girlfriends dog licking my cock and as bad as I wanted to make him stop I just couldn’t until after he had licked me till I came and I guess the rest is history.
