What was your first furry experience?

I was 14 or something and I met this guy online. we talked for a bit, started dating, then he told me he was a furry- i was like wth is that? he explained and i thought it was pretty cool. he got me onto second life, helped me design a fursona, and the rest is history
 
Fifth or sixth grade, I believe...

Was either Scooby-Doo or Sonic The Hedgehog. Both were around the same time. Also had the hots for a few Pokemon. Wasn't until I was around 22-24 that I finally learned what a furry was.
 
Visited a friend who walked into the bedroom with his partner, both in suits. Shocked me for a moment, but ended up being in the middle and enjoying both cocks... great way to lose my vcard haha

I wanted to draw Krystal (starfox) and looking online for some image references. By chance I came across some images from Dr Comet and was instantly hook. Furry art is what made me turn to my sketchbook often.
 
After I discovered I might be sexually attracted towards animals when I was 9 or 10 years of age, I stumbled upon furry porn on sexy-toons.fr if someone remembers that site. It seems to be long gone. I was glad to see that someone actually put the effort into drawing stuff like that. Which meant there must be like minded people out there somewhere. Two to three years later, I stumbled upon actual furry groups on the internet. And the rest is history.
 
Always was a sneaky canine with not much bonds to humans, aside a few.
Never found anything sexually interesting in humans, even trying it (motto: try everything! haha..) was useless and boring.
Feel distracted by humans in my direct near. Always cautious, always expecting them to either hunt or betray. No idea how to describe that emotion. No fear, just caution. I see that a lot on animals via micro expressionism. (Still able to simulate the human role very well..)
Can't understand the falseness of humans on a profitless level - without any benefits, aside killing time. Boredom?

Sexually only interested in canidae and some other animal species (but those other species are basically less "partners for life" than "friends with benefits").

The "furry" concept of modern furries that got pulled into the scene through anime / manga / comics / movies / from meeting animals is somewhat .. surface-like and not much identification exists from my side with those. Still accepting them. Why not..

So the first "furry experience" basically was experiencing life itself. Unfortunately beneath human forced social structures, I have to say.

I think my first furry experience took place when I was ~14 or so. I was browsing porn on various sites and stumbled upon some stuff by an artist named Coyotek. Ended up finding them on SoFurry, and branched out from there. This must've been somewhere around '08 or so? Early enough that I can remember seeing articles popping up discussing the growing prevalence of YCH-styled commissions. I continued to explore the furry-sphere until I finally made my fursona a few years later. I've been a furry ever since.

Strangely enough, furry porn opened me up to the fact that I might be bisexual. Furry males, man. I've tried to reconcile why that was the case and find myself still struggling to make sense of it. Seems it bled backwards, because it wasn't until after I discovered that I liked furry males that I also enjoyed similarly drawn content including humanoid characters, and then the occasional venture into RL gay porn.

Character-wise, I think the first signs of my furrydom arose when I first watched Balto and saw Jenna. Something about her just hit the nail on the head.

My first experiences were around the 2000s as well! Similar to yours, as well.
 
Jay Naylor, Wolfy Nail or Karno don't remember exactly what artist was the first but that was the beginning and it never ended.
 
I stumbled upon Furry Porn when I was searching for Zoo Porn when I was around 14. Since then, both sides really appeal me, also hanging in both fandoms really loosely.
 
Mine was some pokemon stories and pokemon art I found in some old web sites. Now I love the creative minds of furry artists.
 
Downloading animal porn on P2P networks at the time, annomage namedbsomething like "hot furry snow leopardness" got me curious.

I remember thinking how silly it was to say "furry" because... Snow leopard. Of Course it is furry, you silly

I was quite surprised to get an odd *drawing* of a female leopard on her back with obvious sexual details drawn
 
I found porn at an early age due to some stuff that happened to me. Fast forward half a year or so I was over at a friend's house on his families computer. At this point I was already into zoo stuff due to my young age and obsession with animals at this time. So imagine my surprise when one day I opened a web browser at his house and someone forgot to clear the history or didn't know how to and all the recent searches were still visable. A lot of the searches was for Henti except one, in this huge list of Naruto and other henti was Furry Yiff. At this point I knew about most of the things in the search history except for that. My curiosity got the better of me and that night I clicked on that search and I found the holy grail of all things animal to my young mind. I felt so weird that night that I turned off the computer and sat down contemplating what I just discovered. And my fate was sealed when I turned the computer back on and searched it up again.
