What is wrong with some men here and everywhere?

Often a guys with dick pics a PM me and every time I tell them that it would be wise move of them to change the avatar pic. And guess? They just disappear. It is not a tragedy that they are stupid, the real tragedy is that they want to stay stupid.

I figure a large portion of guys look at this as a purely pornographic space rather than a community? Sorry btw if I'm just echoing what's already been said. If someone comes here just for the filth, then there's probably a strong caveman brain drive to show you're part of or support that assumed porno collective rather than something that might be considered a little more "socially acceptable".

Can't it be both? Giving into those primal urges is fun. Then again so is having a real conversation about comics, music, cooking, nature, that thing which you, the person reading this, likes.
 
Personally, I don't mind seeing women members post pics of their juicy bits or use a sexy pic for an avatar. But then I'm a straight guy. Naturally and as you would expect dick pics from male members don't do anything for me. Can't say I've ever used a pic of any part of myself for an avatar or sent anyone an unsolicited dick pic. But then again, it's not as if I've gotten any compliments for the avatar I'm using either. Most of the avatar compliments appear to be from men to women showing a sexy body part either nude or clothed.

I have a dick pic and its worked out pretty fine to me. I am also a solid conversationalist. I enjoy people in real life.

Alternately, I am suspect of a profile who has an avi pic of someone who we all KNOW is not really them yet they want to be taken seriously. It is ultimately about the conversation points and the ability to illustrate in interest beyond sex. Let's also point out that MANY of the members here are in places that are not generally accessible for the forum audience they may chat with daily.

But I do get that it's a good way to cast out a net to find other people who are DTF, which is the reason I gave for why people might do this to begin with, and it's certainly not against the rules. So yeah you're certainly free to do what you want with your profile pic, but we're also free to complain about it when we don't like what we see.
