What animal do you prefer and why?

I'm bi with everything, but my soft spot is dogs. I love the species -- there's a visual beauty I can't really explain. I also find it very easy to bond with them emotionally. Of course, this varies from individual to individual (like any other species) but the loving safety I feel with a close dog is unrivaled
 
I've only been with dogs, with that being said horses and other equines do interest me a little.
