Sleeping with dogs

I dint have a dog yet, but I will allow her to sleep on my bed but also give her a bed in case she ever wants to go down there (I use she because I already know what kind of dog I am getting, a female GSD)

as i am in divorce and she keeps the dog, i kinda need another to spoil. if i get a labrador, he will sleep on the bed, a blanket next to the bed and... a cage with a blanket over it so he has his space where i leave him alone. if he wants belly rubs and no sex, that is fine too. His main job is to wake me when trouble hits, the rest is a good bonus.

Well, now yes, since I don't have another option, it's Winter, we are under a polar wave, and I don't have a heater in my room, so I'm like the natives sleeping with my dog as a personal fluffy heater :husky_laughing:

My dog has his sleeping space, but he only uses it during the day to rest because he usually sleeps in my bed, although it also depends.

My girl always sleeps with me, every night when she is sleepy she comes to me and calls me so we can sleep, she likes to sleep hugging me, I love feeling her heart beat in my chest while she looks at me with that sweet look that only she has

Doggos start out sleeping in the bed, but gets too hot. They also have beds on the floor.

A few times ive woken up with our rats asleep on me, I fell asleep before they were ready to go to bed and still playing!

Mine have choice to sleep with me or not. But I have one who loves it above all else. He sometimes comes to snuggle up to me at night or sits on the other pillow and in morning, cuddles !

Do you and your dog exclusively sleep together on the same bed or do they have their own sleeping area?
Yes every night we can not sleep without each other one night I went to take a shower and went to lay down and I forgot I closed our door and she was scratching and barking at me through our door she was kind of pissed at me lol

My cat sleeps at the end of our bed most nights, usually curled up against my partner's legs.
Maybe once a week she'll curl up next to me instead and I swear I sleep better when she does.

I'm in the process of making some pretty big life changes, so I'm really hoping to get another dog within a year.
I always loved having them snuggled up next to me in bed.

My dog curls up next to me and doesn't leave me alone for a second, then he stretches out and takes up half the bed...

One night he's going to push me out.

I do sleep with mine a few times a month but he looks out of the window whenever he hears a car going past so he keeps me awake throughout the night and sorry bud but sleep comes first!
