My dog has a choice and he usually sleeps with me. In fact most animal I have shared my life with with the exception of a parrot slept with me.
Sleeping with an animal provably leads to better sleep quality that was even confirmed by science. Sleeping with a cat is by far the most enjoyable thing I have done. :D

I have to yeet my dumbass cat to kitchen every evening and close all doors to have decent sleep :D
 
My dogs also have the option to sleep wherever they want. Typically one will sleep at the foot of the bed while the more dominant one will sleep in the bed with me but they will switch out during the night sometimes or if I'm being Restless they will leave me alone and sleep on the couch or on those blessed cold winter nights one will sleep on either side of me and literally pin me to the bed by my blanket. :) LOL
 
I had the oportiunity whan I was young, to sleep with our first family dog, a small chihuahua dog named Vecinito, I did not think about sex at that time, but feel his fur in my skin I remember it was wonderful.
Other exceptional oportunity that i can sleep with our familiy dog Roco in a bed, not in our house, in this case a big dog, we did not sleep all nigth, only feeling his fur in my sking made me be completly wet

My former dog was sleeping with me maybe 15 or 20 min and then he was going to his bed because he was getting too hot, he was a Huskie

At that time I would have liked to have sex with him but it was too shameful for me, now I think things are getting better in my head about it
So I'm waiting for the moment when I'm going to be sure of myself and I'm going to have another dog, to finally love my dog and maybe if he wants to have sex with him -- My god that I would like that to happen!
 
My newfie girl seldom sleeps in the same bed as me. She might crawl in for 5 to 10 minutes, but it usually gets too hot for her and her long floof. So she'll normally sleep next to the bed. My littler mutt mix on the other hand normally does sleep in the same bed as me. She's not much of a cuddler unfortunately, and in fact doesn't like me resting my arm around her, but she's normally sleeping next to me.
