Because we are all of a certain level or degree of insanity. Society and civilization makes us put up a false/unnatural front to fit into the guise written by us from morals of men before us. Therefore we cannot act as we would in nature and are therefore FAKE. Each and every one of us ?

Today I learned "top-shelf" can mean either "high-quality alcohol" or "pornographic magazine". Either way, colour me intrigued.
