I'm not even convinced of that.
I can't tell you how many times I've gotten "I work construction, I don't know how to use computers" from some retard who gets sent in by his boss/forman/etc to get a set of blueprints printed and he has no fucking clue how to email them to me. What the fuck does your job have to do with knowing how to use a computer? So you don't use one at work? So? That's only 8 hours of your day. Maybe spend less time watching nascar and hunting, and join the 21st century in the other 16 hours of the day.

To blame your job on your stupidity is still a meaningless and retarded excuse. I spent 5 years working in construction manufacturing that did not require using a computer, I still used one when I got home.

Computers are basically a need to live nowadays... unfortunatelly.

I hate that basic things like going to the police station or paying your taxes can not be done if you do not have internet connection, and you can not work with a bank unless you own an smart(ass)phone this days

Still, if soneone does not want to use computers in their private life/ free time and still need them for their work, the employer should have thought it before renting or promoting that person.
And if so, I say it IS the employers thing to train them as needed in (in work hours) ?
