Eurasian Goshawk....There are many species....but they all will chase prey on foot as well as in the air. I've watched them chase squirrels into heavy shrubbery, and go right in after them....it astonishing to see.

Woman fishing the Elwha River....Thats a damn nice Steelhead

This River was dammed for power in the early 1900s, which stopped legendary runs of Steelies and Several species oc Salmon. The Elwha once produced a record rod-caught Chinook of about 105 lbs ....When it became obsolete, the then owners donated the land and the dam to Washington....absolving themselves of the need to maintain a then useless blockage in the River. The dam is gone now. Hopefully the Fish will eventually recreate the populations of yore.
