Is beastiality still legal in Japan and few states of North America?

To my surprise, a vet on the CBC forums shouted it can't stand a constitutional challenge, as it criminalizes artificial insemination collection.

They would argue that the purpose of artificial insemination collection isn't sexual, only the means are. (The law defines bestiality as any act, for a sexual purpose, with an animal. It basically makes bestiality a thought-crime: what you do with the animal doesn't matter, your motivation matters.)

I too would like to move to a better place. Japan and Russia and some south america n countries seem to be best countries. While within the US, the states with the most recent legislation may be the most lenient as I'm sure there's still a shift in culture.

What about boats, planes, islands etc? Does anyone know how and if country laws apply?

there are millions of people, atheists included, that find human / animal sex repulsive. You, and many others may want to feel normal but you are not. You are in a very small minority of people. I am not suggesting this is good or bad and I am not hating...to many people want to ignore reality now days and it is fucking up society. Accept that you are different, be kind to your pets, and live your life in peaceful quietness. Help others in this community but don't bull shit yourself.

Like, recently? The Supreme Court didn't strike anything down; bestiality was illegal and remains illegal, but for some reason a lot of people today didn't seem to realize that it meant penetration. The updated definition is really wishy-washy and I have no idea what it'll end up meaning. (On the face of it, it seems to make zoophilia a thought-crime. With a deeper reading, there are subtle possibilities about intent.)

(Whups, I didn't realize there was another page, and that this was answered already. To answer more recent questions: Animals don't legally have 'sex', so a 'sexual purpose' refers entirely to the human. Veterinary contact and farming don't have anything to do with sex, so they aren't criminalized.)

Kinsey found that upward of 60% of men in some regions experimented with animals. The taboo keeps us from talking, but a great many people are at least *interested* in the sexuality of animals.
A lot of what people find disgusting is based on society, anyway. Some people are disgusted at the idea that animals are here because their parents had sex, but they take it as a matter of course that we should be slicing skin off of our babies' penises.

Your number would imply that you could fit all people from the US who prefer sex with animals to be legal into a single Jumbo jet. Member numbers of this forum alone show that there are many more people interested in interspecies sex than this and they are unlikely to want to make their own interest illegal.

Besides, no one asked for special privileges.

and what is your point? Bestiality is illegal everywhere in the U.S. Nothing new about it. States revisit their laws all the time..they modify them..Regardless of the so-called "New Laws" prior to what they call new law you couldn't have sex with a animal anywhere in the U.S. without being prosecuted. FFS

Again your comprehensive skill is lacking...bestiality is illegal and it always has been regardless if the charge was animal cruelty or lewd and lascivious acts. It matters not what the charge is..get caught and you do the time. You are trying to portray this as some new attack...it isn't and you know it.

I've tried multiple times to put the information back up on the wikipedia page, but I keep getting into edit wars with people and mods reverting what I added. Meanwhile its the same exact data that was in another wikipedia article that was taken down :rolleyes:
