Is a VPN enough

If you're watching or downloading zoo porn, technically no. VPN companies are incredibly misleading in their advertising and use bullshit phrases like 'military grade encryption'.

If you have javascript enabled, it can be used to obtain your real IP address even if you're using a VPN. If you're visiting a website you've already been to before and don't wipe all of your cookies in between sessions, that website knows that you visited the website with your own IP address and the new IP address your VPN gave you. If you log into a website, that website knows every IP address you've ever used to associate with that account. If you're not using privacy friendly extensions on your browser, various tracking technologies will find who you are.

If you're using a mobile device, phone reception, wifi and hardware IDs are trackable. Tor is pointless on a windows device, without a secure OS like Whonix or Tails.

But ultimately you have to weigh the liklihood of anyone caring about people watching or downloading zoo porn when any government/group with the capability to track people would surely be hunting child abusers, sex trafficers, drug trafficers and so on.

Right on, using a linux distro like whonix/qubes or tails are pretty darn good. Ask anyone in IT about windows 10 and how much of a privacy disaster it is. And VPN's... sure they're nice but not a be all solution. You're simply sending all you traffic to whichever provider and taking their word they don't keep logs but other than not fully protecting IP leaks, Mullvad or Proton VPN would be my choice. TOR will still be a better choice for anonymity and do so on a linux distro at least.

The reality is us zoo's are not a threat to the govt and are therefore not a priority to the alphabet agencies. It comes down to how much do you want to shield your info from all these data mining corporations at the cost of some convenience. There's never a thing as free, you pay with your data.

Kill this fucking thread get a great vpn a goood browser and take this shit tova net sec forum or pm me........sad.

Express has that covered too. Youre being ripped off.

Almost got it. Good effort

I use Tor Broswer, since it's isolated and it's more practical to have it open while at the same time I have also Firefox for normal stuff. If I use only a VPN, then it wouldn't be a good idea to open two windows of the same browser (even with private mode), or even different ones, and log in your personal accounts from the same IP (even if it's not yours). Maybe I could try Tor over a VPN, but my internet already sucks alone. Also, letting your VPN open all the time can mess up with other software like Spotify, Netflix, Steam, Discord, etc. It tried Proton VPN, and is very good, specially the Premium version, but at this moment is money I don't have to spare.

I also downloaded a copy of Tails (portable Linux over Tor in a USB drive), but is not very practical, since you have to restart your PC everytime and you can't do normal stuff meanwhile, so I would need an exclusive PC for that. Another option is a Tails over a VM on W10, but is not 100% safe (though is safer than Tor alone in W10).

A cloud server comes to mind, but not Google, or OneDrive, but a personal one. I noticed my when I started using OneDrive and linked my documents folder, some files were flagged that they weren't allowed. It was to the game Second Life and one of their files for an X rated zone I once visited. Haven't been on that game for maybe eight years, but kept the user files should I log back in ever and still have my old character info (actually how I started using my profile name, it's the name the game gave me at the time). So Microsoft does monitor what you put in the cloud on their servers. Haven't seen that with Google, Dropbox or others, but don't use them for more than sending work files usually.

I would never trust Google more than Microsoft. Still, I don't use Onedrive for zoo stuff (not even furry). Still, I have a copy of my passwords and bank data in the cloud (in a text file), but I compress them with encryption using 7-zip before I upload it.

Still, Microsoft said they don't look at files unless you share it. I have lots of programs and cracks uploaded to my account, and the only time I get flagged was because I shared them with a link through an email.

Yeah, W10 is not the best option (you can still disable some things to make it more secure, or use a VM inside). Still, it's 1000x more secure than using an Android phone as lots of people here do...

But you're a right, is not like we are pedos. Still, better safe than sorry, specially for people living in countries with awful laws against zoo.

You are not providing very detailed explanations for someone who works in the field and should have rather extensive knowlege on the subject.

Like the titles states, to stay hidden I use a VPN and then use duck duck go as my browser to access this site. I also have Tor browser but I rarely use it as it takes time to load and sometimes that crashes too.

Am I doing it right or is there an alternative way to do things. I've already been caught by authorities once and would rather it not happen again since I got off lightly the first time.

Anyone who know about these things, please say something as we are in his together ?

I personally just use Tor browser, duckduckgo and use an encrypted email address for my account. I'm VERY surprised that this site is on the surface web, I was searching the deep web for forums and found this one. You can use a VPN if you wish for extra protection but I personally wouldn't suggest writing anything on here thats incriminating anyway. I think Tor and an encrypted email address is enough

Tor is fullllll of holes
Agree the ff browser kinda aids in helping u not fuck up. Also I was wrong fuckduck has a browser
Yes which you access via a.....browser...Thats not the issue really. Hes probably using some of googles bloated load or safari. Either way if he's looking for more security Firefox focus is free. Chrome is trash..
And duckduckgo is not your browser.
Nord is my #2 pick
I hit my isp at half that. Thats vpn on
Express is the best by far. Hundreds of servers all over the world.read the vpn mentor reviews
Read reviews compare...
Well mine let's u pick several diff options. Speed.security.roam etc.

Do not ever use free VPN stuff.ever
VPN is a start. Also use Firefox focus as a browser. Torbrowser is solid but not necessary. Use a good VPN though. I recommend express VPN.

WTF man, this is not a chat, this is a forum, learn how to use one properly. Get all your ideas together in one post, and quote who you are responding to...

And put some effort in your writing. I'm not being a grammar nazi here (English is not even my first language), but you are just mashing buttons and some of your text is intelligible. Read what you write before send it.

PS: Also read the rules, I'm pretty sure you didn't.

For hackers most of the time yes for the government However no a lot of governments have agreements with VPN providers that they need to handle in the data when they detect someone doing illegall stuff. However being on zooville is not illegal maybe depending where you live downloading porn is but most government agencies nowadays don't look for people watching zoo porn. VPN is enough for if hackers try to hack this site again like the old one but not enough for the government.

Use a VPN client with true end to end encryption.... All data would be totally useless to anyone, it takes a couple hundred years to decrypt a single encrypted jpg image without the keys.
Could u recommend one with true end to end encryption?
