How Many People do You Chat With

There’s a constant stream of people striking up a conversation but mostly it fizzles out because I have to do all the talking and get just short, meaningless replies. Mostly with guys. With girls it tends to go well if they approach me, but if I approach them there is seldom much response. In the past it was different. We made strong online friendships that lasted for months or years. I would say my female friendships were fewer but generally stronger but there were exceptions. Atm I have one medium strong female and male friendship. The others come and go unfortunately. But it’s still enjoyable to meet people and compare notes. I love learning what others think and feel and desire. And live sharing my experiences.

Ehh. If they just give off bad vibes then I’ll play dumb for forever and just keep joking around. But if I’m in the mood and they don’t seem that bad, sure I’ll indulge a bit. I have random conversations with people all the time on here. I got my core friend group that I prioritize messaging and then I’ll dip into the “getting to know you” group of messages and then the random messages that people have sent me out of the blue. Never know when you might find a new bestie or something. My current bestie on here messaged me out of the blue and now he’s a bff.

Yeah it feels like most conversations fizzle out after the initial basic questions are asked. Being able to flow a conversation from one thing to the next or step outside the bounds of specific question/answer dynamics can be rather tricky. Especially if you’re the one putting forth most of the effort. For me, I currently have a couple guy friends that I truly enjoy chatting with that I consider good friends. I have 2 female friends that I consider good friends too. But the vast majority of conversations on here are with guys. Just because I’m much to afraid/awkward to message anyone first and typically I’m not sure that other women message first either.

Conversation comes and goes as people do. Life happens, but I have a few consistent friends. I agree that you never what might comes of something, but usually you know pretty well from the first few messages. Not being in the "hot girl club" means I get fewer messages though 🤷😂

Too true. Usually after the first handful of messages, you know if that person is gonna amount to anything in your online life. I’ve had some people start off real strong with great conversation and then it just degrades in quality so fast you wonder if they got taken out by the fed and now I’m just chatting with some random agent who hasn’t seen the sun or another human in years.

I’m just curious what people’s chatting habits are on here. It feels like most of the time I message someone, they respond so quick I can’t get to my other messages.

I’m a woman and the vast majority of my conversations are with guys. I have about 15 people that I regularly chat with on a daily basis. Only 2 are women. Only 3 of them have I really gotten to know very well and they know me very well. I have maybe 10 or so dud conversations each day that I can’t commit the energy to reply to the same questions over and over again or that are just “hey how are you” copy pasted every day.

Most of the messages I receive are from men who don't read my profile and/or assume I'm a cis female. I don't bother much with those or the lurkers without a profile that are pushy in conversation. I probably message equally as many queer men as women (and NBs) but tbh I'm not that fond of using the site for messaging and I find some of the limitations to hinder progressing the conversation/level of familiarity. With about 6 people here I've moved over to talking on a secure chat platform when we both were comfortable with it.
 
I get 10-30 messages a day from guys. Some Men.
I say it that way as mist are asshole pervs. The Men, message with decent questions and Hellos?

As far as regulars chats i have a few that I talk with weekly some times daily.

I don't bother the woman's here, they are getting bombarded by disgusting messages anyway. There is no point in further contributing to this problems.

The few people here that I appreciate I do not contact via pm, because it's not necessary. Just contributing occasionaly in some threads here, and seeing there response there is fine enough.

I get the occasional porn hound, who did not even bother to look at my post history, and asks me very inappropriate questions. But that's maybe two or three times a year,and this kind of conversations quickly die.

I think it’s a universal problem. People imagine running online into the most ideal person ever born and they keep skipping over normal humans in the hope of finding that fantasy. To me, the normal ones are just as fascinating. I’ve known very few zoo super-humans. Most are just ordinary ones with fantasies and little experience but I like em. Lol

For sure. People will skip normal people who they could actually build something with or just have fun passing time with. I’ve been told so many times that I’m a waste of someone’s time because I won’t meet them or fuck them irl. Like, ok. So anyone in their life that they don’t put their dick in is a waste of time. Got it, no need for friends or people to just pass some time with. Must be a very lonely life. People will hyper focus only on what they want and miss out on just having fun or enjoying normal people online company. I always feel that people that claim to be zoo superstars with all kinds of experience are usually just lying anyways. It’s like getting messages by someone saying they’re an 18 year old girl with all kinds of kinky desires and experiences on here. Like, yeah, sure dude. Whatever you say.

most of the most amazing zoo chat friends I had there was zero chance of ever meeting for real. One was a rich doctor’s 50-something bored and neglected housewife, desperate for a thrill. One was a 24 yo nurse who has done all the taboos you would think of first. One was a chubby middle aged Mexican catholic guy with secret lusts. One was an American teacher in Brazil who’s tried more animals than anyone I ever heard of. He and his whole family. None of them were porn stars. You’d glance over them easily at first glance in a chat room. But each was amazing as a chat friend and we remained in touch sometimes for years. They become interesting as friends. Not just as sex objects.
 
regularly with my GF and some friends but just for sending memes. Im not that attached to telegrams daily conversations
 
I've only just joined and am terrified of DMing anyone. I'm sure I'll master my fear of annoying someone with my charm, my beautiful dog, and my love of cheese. Eventually!

I usually get two or three private messages a day, 99.9 percent of which are from other men. I reply to all of them, making it clear from the start that I'm heterosexual and not interested in men as sexual partners, but that if they want to chat and be friends, I'd be happy to. That said, most people usually stop talking... luckily, there are about eight people on the forum with whom I'd say I have a friendship and a good feeling, and I chat with them almost daily through other apps.
 
Not very many as people start to speak to you then you share your experience's with them. which they must get off too then they clam up on you. then just stop speaking to you after that which I find quite annoying to be honest with u.
 
I haven’t begun to chat with anyone yet. As a man I don’t want to contribute to the cringy bombardment of messages I imagine women must endure and don’t know is the right time to reach out, if ever. Last thing I want is to add to the empty banality. I honestly don’t have a clue what to do yet. But I am very open to chats 😊
