I have never met anyone from this site. But that's because the only people trying to meet me are guy that say they want local friends, but are entirely too washy to trust for a real meet up.

Haven’t been here long, but they all seem to be some combination of men pretending to be women, people collecting personal info, or time wasters that disappear or can’t verify.

I don’t have high hopes.
 
I've talked to someone local in here, I got a little nervous, things just didn't add up, I'm very keen on when things are askew.

As much as I travel, plus photography of animals, I figured one day maybe I'll accidentally find another or something..

A long time ago, yes
But not on this forum. This forum doesn’t seem to be conducive to meeting folks. In years past I met all sorts of folks from Texas in person. These days other than saying hello most folks are quick to disappear, and don’t really say much. Most conversations I’ve had here don’t carry much substance. Maybe in the past forums were for meeting folks for a deeper connection (not necessarily sexual).

Maybe the younger crowd is used to instant gratification and quick sound bites such that real conversation has been lost ? Who knows.
 
Am I the only one really scared to meet someone from here irl? I mean, it's a vicious circle but it's hard not to be suspicious. I don't know if I would be able to find mutual trust. Too afraid of having trouble with my identity. I know it works the other way around and people might say "what if the betrayer was you?". Yet, I would never do such a thing even if I end up hating someone. But what I'm telling you here is my word against yours, who says I'm sincere? I don't know if you get my point of view.

I’ve never met someone from the site, although I’m open to the idea.

I’ve chatted with some people about their content (people that I likely wouldn’t meet IRL because of distance, etc.), and recently started chatting with someone that is nearby. I’m hoping in time, when it feels right for both, we’ll get a chance to meet as friends.
 
I would like to someday but I understand that given I’m not an owner I’m a dime a dozen lol. If we built trust I would love to meet.

Normal shit. Which is the point. Just normal, casual, conversation, the way you would talk with any other person you've never met before.

Which is the whole point. If you can't do this, you have no business doing anything else or talking about things of this nature either.
 
If you have no conversational talents, how do you meet anyone in the mundane world? Do not make the mistake ofvthinking "but zoos are different!"....they are not. When meeting someone for the first time there are a thousand possibilities, starting with the weather. This is not hard, unless youve been living in a cave.

That's the mistake most people make. They simply overthink it.

In addition to that, there is an entire swath of population who are NEVER going to meet anyone is this context, simply for the reason that these folks are incapable of even having conversation, period.

By that, I mean those folks who are simply inept at social interaction in any respect. Then you add in the overthinking concept and the entire thing collapses.

If you can't talk to your server without pissing your pants from crippling social anxiety, you can't talk about this to even a woman you meet here, because the act of talking is your issue, not a lack of k9 oriented females.

If you can operate socially in conversation, you can talk to any random female you may meet from here, but you should NOT be discussing this right away under any circumstances, until you determine whether or not you can handle discussing the days weather. If you can't walk, you have little hope of running.

Don't put extra pressure on yourself, or them, this is heavy stuff, no matter how hard or wet it makes any of us, it's a bit too heavy for conversation with people you just met.

I got a message from a woman on a BDSM wanting to chat this week. Unfortunately she's too far away. But when a woman who posts a photo of her in a T-shirt that reads "I'd rather be with my dog" wants to chat about "things that aren't allowed to be talked about on the site", it isn't a mystery.

Shame she's too far away, she owns a really nice looking chocolate Lab.
