No shit...I'm in the wrong business. Having no ethics or morals seems to pay much better than having them.
Thank you Floofy, and everyone else for your input!Just banned this user for claiming stolen photos. Thanks to @Dogdaddy69 for bringing it to my attention.
Ya you have a point. I just thought since we know that this person is a scammer, we can just assume nothing of what this person has said has anything to do with who they actually are. I didn't wanna automatically assume it was a guy.
How evil of you to even think that! But if you do, lmk if you can slide a Benjamin Franklin bill my way ?Hell, I'm rethinking my life choices and wondering how much hassle it would be to lose my moral code and get wealthier scammer style..................
I'd say, screenshot everything *now*.I still need to do that, will probably type out the report after work. Would this post be warrant enough for action? I have proof from telegram if the admins need
Ccol. Saved us the trouble of going back and fourth with messages and screenshots and whatnot. I'll update her banner as scammer if it hasnt been done alreadyJust banned this user for claiming stolen photos. Thanks to @Dogdaddy69 for bringing it to my attention.
Guess we're gonna hafta start addressing you as either "Morris" ('cause you're a finicky bitch) or "Charlie" ('Cause you jhink everybody wants tuna with good taste), huh?LOL
Some scammers change their ASL information often to match whatever group/forum/channel they are in. Happens a lot on fetlife. One day, an account reflects a 25F dom with large cleavage poking around the larger discussion groups typically full of horny men posting onlyfans links, then the next day the account reflects a 45M daddy dom seeking a baby girl, which is another source of potential victims.
What those idiots don't seem to realize, and it baffles me how they wouldn't know this, is every post in a group, every picture they like, every comment they've made, every profile change they make is permanently in their profile history with timestamps for all to see. Forever.
You do it, you own it. Not that it matters, the suckers still line up.
On the receiving end, that's helpful when evaluating what just landed in my inbox (when it was open - it's not anymore - less work for me).
"Hi, I've been on fetlife for 7 years and came across your profile and blah blah blah and I'm a really nice guy!"
I review the sender's profile history and 99.99% of their activity over the past 7 years was liking boob pictures and making "I'd do you" type comments. The .01% would be the comment they left on a woman's profile "fuck you, you're just a worthless cocksleeve" which almost always means she rejected his DM
Over there, I just looked and I've blocked 116,477 people lol.
oof.. glad i didn't send any pics, makes sense i don't get a reply anymore...
thanks a lot for that post, i will!
Why would an anonymous free email domain stop fakes? If anything it makes it easier. You could make 1000 email accounts there if you wanted to, and that's exactly what scammers do.I’m new to this forum. Does is seem like there are still a lot of fakes? I figured the email domain would have weeded out the fakes.
Shit, I don't get why people so many people pretend to be female. And then there's the photos. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯that's exactly what scammers do.
They no longer pretend. They identify as that oarticular female in the image.Shit, I don't get why people so many people pretend to be female. And then there's the photos. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A lot of people, here, need to read that post. It was a good one. Knowing why catfishes catfish can help someone avoid them.Catfishing isn't new. It happened back in the AOL, Compuserv, and Prodigy days and probably whatever existed before that.
Some do it for nefarious reasons, i.e. trying to make a buck. Any female-like profile gets hammered by those who are thirsty which in effect, is a "build it and they will come" marketing model. Pay a fee, talk to a woman. Buy what she's peddling: wish lists, pictures, panties, socks, etc.
That tidbit can actually be leveraged for non-nefarious reasons. About a decade ago I was at a huge kink event and they had a kinky auction trying to raise money for a long-time community member who was dying of cancer. While there were a lot of items donationed, the bidding was minimal and they weren't raising anywhere near the dollars they hoped. I went up on the stage and whispered to the auctioneer. He smiled and announced the next item to be auctioned - the underpants I was wearing right there, right now. And the winner could pull them down (no touching me past that) on stage and keep them. I pulled up my dress and did a slow 360, the applause was crazy, and the bidding began.
There were a lot of bids early on but the majority bailed except for two guys who kept at it while I kept giving them glimpses to encourage them. When it was done, the winner paid $850 for the opportunity to come on stage, remove them, and keep them. That is thirsty. I had anticipated whoever won to take their time and enjoy the moment, but not that guy. One hand on each side and yanked 'em down as fast as he could, I stepped out of them with my hand on the auctioneers shoulder for balance, and he jammed them in his pants pocket and walked off just like that.
That action wasn't about me. Maybe my being physically fit and really tall had something to do with it but I doubt it. To me it felt very much like "used panties, woo-hoo." He paid $850 towards the cause so who cares.
Most catfishes aren't nefarious at least as far as money goes - it's about just the attention for people with that issue, any attention is better than no attention and because female-like profiles get hammered with attention, they have an endless supply of it from online sources.
Some are a little different though, and while they're after attention like the rest of them their motivation is a little different - either validation or fantasy - where they may be a crossdresser, a sissy, something like that and doing the catfish thing has something to do with how they identify or how they want to pretend to be, depending which it is. It's still about attention, but it's a bit more specific.
While this element of the online world is very annoying, it shouldn't surprise anyone.
Quite a while back I was on plenty of fish and saw a profile which piqued my interest. We talked back and forth and seemed to hit it off and finally, we agreed to meet in person at a cafe. That's when they confessed they weren't a guy, but rather, a lesbian. So, we didn't meet. I asked why would they lie like that and their answer was, they're struggling to meet women. I didn't reply after that but I was thinking, so being a lesbian and hitting on straight women who think you're a guy makes sense?
But, what can ya do. Every experience like that is either a life lesson or a really cool story.
Thank-you for taking the time for this reply. I greatly appreciate that..Why thank you
Attention is the #1 reason. It's fairly easy to recognize them at least most of the time through the form of solicitation. Click this link, buy me this thing, look at this website elsewhere, oh and I've only talked to you for 10 seconds but here are 20 NSFW pictures.
And... because they're so busy soliciting that attention "on autopilot" they're usually not focusing much, if any mental energy towards keeping their story straight. And that's how I usually pick them out.
It was for a good cause. I also was friendly with the person benefiting from the auction so I had a bit of a stake in the outcome.
Plus, how often do any of us get to flash our knickers at 1000 people, assuming we're not porn stars (which I am not) ?
thanks for sharing thi useful infoHey guys,
So I've had a couple responses to my ads in the meet up section now, that have been fakes looking to speak to me, get to know me / meet me for whatever reason, but it is not because they are genuine owners. They are blatantly fake. I've just had another contact me today who conveniently owns one of each animal that I've been specifically requesting in the meet up section (I'm a girl), and who is also conveniently the same heritage me, which I've posted in a couple discussions on this forum where it comes up in topic, they're also a Lurker... go figure. So I think starting a thread where we can all post the usernames of fake or very suspicious accounts on here would be a good safety measure, if anyone has been contacted by someone & they're unsure of them, they can check this thread to see if anyone has any trouble with them or not. Two accounts I can confidently say are fake are K9Taboo and esmee._x . I simply don't respond to them.
very well said !Why would an anonymous free email domain stop fakes? If anything it makes it easier. You could make 1000 email accounts there if you wanted to, and that's exactly what scammers do.

I need sources. The second pic is just that, a pic.
Forgot to mention that it was taken care of.
So, I guess @CuriousStephanie is yet another of the many women who refused to chat with you, refused to meet up with you or refused to send you a picture of herself, is she? So, she MUST be fake?
Some women who are real do stupidly reuse their photographs from other mainstream sites on here. They get banned all the time,Still I feel one of those days it *will* be the real person stupidly reusing her photographs from other mainstream sites, and you'll have to ban the other party for having efectively outed a member...
