Indeed, it does seems to be the case. When it comes to actual instruments I primarily like and play the piano. But I have also wrote some simple songs on the guitar as well. Most of the full songs that I write and compose is done from a program called FL Studio. You can add all kinds of instruments and arrange multiple melodies onto multiple tracks. Many of the instruments pretty much sound like the real thing. All the vocals are done by myself and recorded in a program called Audacity. I mainly do harmonic vocals but I also have a pretty mean growl as well. Most people I show my music to are pretty impressed. Unfortunately I can't share it here due to security reasons. (Since I've shared it elsewhere.)
Here's a non-rock song that I really like. Funny enough it was written for the Sims 1 Build mode, but it's actually a very elegantly written piano piece:

That’s right. I’m on the waiting game now too.
I actually have wanted to learn the piano for a long time, but I don’t have one and I just got too busy and it became not a priority. It’s too bad you can’t share your music on here, I’m sure it would be worth listening to. Have you ever considered writing music that you only post on here, or would you be worried about you style/voice being too recognizable?
