The only times I don't seem to be as depressed is when I was in an active relationship; and far more frequent when I'm single.

Depression was in 2020 a synonym for "bare existence", and still will be for some time to come

In my case, my depression stems from being single for 3 (plus) years since my most recent ex abandoned me.

Been depressed for a long time, mainly due to having crap parents and not being able to socialize with other people/severe anxiety. It's been a lonely road and I'm hoping someday having a dog will change that for me.

I was weak at that point, plus I didn't want to get into trouble and get arrested. I'm better now since that situation

Yes I was depressed for several years....right after I came out to some friends and spouse 20 years ago...it took a lot to get to the other side. One friend said my zoosexuality does not define me...only an orientation. They were right...
I moved to a much quieter place, got busy with my own business, and got out of the deep hole. Wife and I got separate bedrooms, and I have my space. Not perfect...have no mates any more...but doing ok...

I have severe anxiety, chronic depression, and ptsd. I'm pretty used to it though. My fur babies help a lot. And I game, read, and have therapy. Because of covid, I do my therapy online and it's been pretty amazing actually. I hate having to go to the clinic.
