Good evening / time to all the floofers and floofs - phew, enough sleep for once. ?

Hope your day is or was better than acceptable. ? ?

My annoyance?

Yep, yip. ? You do a great job by not tearing them more apart than verbally necessary, tho. ❤️

I mean, it's dark during the evening, I would not be able to see what the issue is about until the next day anyway, so I have a real hard time understanding why it is so important to get an answer then and there even if they know very well that daylight is needed to check the surroundings.

*rolls over a high power mobile laser equipment* Enjoy, just don't direct it in the eyes of anyone, else they might experience instant combustion of their thoughts. ?‍♂️

What's the area cowerage on that thing, in dense spruce forests (as they are the darkest ones)?

Well, I do try to be polite.

Welcome floofy Shemon! ? :devilish: ❤️

Depends on point of focus. You can't enlighten aka burn spruce forests with it (needs a dozen to hundred times more power than to destroy human organic tissue), but if you set it onto XY array projection, it basically lights up a whole field by changing the focus to a bigger line and projecting it very quickly over the aimed at length.

It's power output is not that high. And it's blueish-violet in frequency. I build it to use it for 3D scanning purposes, which needs a grid projected onto 3D things for recognition of the depth.

(y) Very good - eloquence in aimed responses which tear buttcaps verbally into oblivion is a necessity.

Does not sound like that construction of yours would aid in seeing what needs to be seen.

Hmm, depends on if the things seen are alive animals or things. If they're animals or humans, they are afterwards surely somewhere else. :ROFLMAO:

Regarding floodlight I've solutions with the power of a flak / stadium light as well which weight below a kg. But they're only for short-time usage on that high intensity light emitting levels.

I guess they could be classified as a tactical weapon as well, as they have tactical strobe functionality which confuses and bedazzles mammals.
Maybe a thing to protect from bears? Not sure how those react to not seeing anything. Their noses are quite good.

If all you need is "daylight between trees", I suggest solutions like this one:

.. with Anduril 2 firmware, as they have mostly temperature sensors, freely configurable advanced usage scenarios, smooth or ranked up/down variables, can check the battery status by some clicks of just one button and so on. Weights around 700g with three ~72g cells (battery) which deliver up to 54 watthours of power, as such on highest density it at least runs somewhat above 10 minutes I guess.

If you configure this as turbo step and the area for normal lighting below 8-10W of total power usage, it's still brighter than a car's low beam light and runs 5h+. You could swap between both steps with a double click, then.

This variant is somewhat comparable to a 160 to 220 watt LED flak light. Anduril 2 supports as well tactical strobes, low power usage and so on. You can basically use such a flashlight as a reading light which runs 300 hours. There should be neutral or daylight white variants of some lamps as well.

A lot of stuff that needs to be seen are alive. And I sure as hell won't set up something that vaporize them in an area "strange" enough for them to call me to that place.

But all you do now is giving my boss ideas (I doubt that he reads here, but still) on how to force me out in the wild during night time, even though I said that I absolutely did not want to leave my comfy home just because Greta Thunberg et al found some shrooms or a forest logger did a booboo, they can wait until the next day.

Ahh, I see - okay, then probably no need for high power output of that level. The flashlights wouldn't cause any "damage" at least from a distance, but blind any living being for a few seconds, that's for sure.

Okay, that's another story. I actually thought that you might like to adventure through dark woods with the possibility to create your personal daylight scenario right there. I for one would love to do that, no matter the potential bears or comparable.

Can't shush enough Greta's through the forests - there's always another one. :ROFLMAO:

I'm more of a "dark" fox. Not a single thing better than enjoying nature in the dark. Yes, to complete work outside which needs real daylight it's disadvantageous, surely enough.. but for moving from A to B it's advantageous for me.

If adventure in the forest, I am capable to navigate during night time. And with the beast (not the dog) with us, we will still arrive where intended even without any artificial light during the night.

No, this was purely from a professional point of view.

Understandable, that's really the professional point of view.

I'm either walking / bicycling "slowly" to enjoy nature or going by bike / quad for "quick" transportation needs, but at night I rarely want to drive from A to B just for "being there".. it's more sort of enjoying the sky, nature, smell without humans.

Even being ecologist partly myself.. some people are as bad as a bladder infection in a beer drinking contest. ?‍♂️ Especially those which enjoy time in forests, private areas and such while destroying everything they can get their hands on or/and leaving waste where ever they go. And they are quite young, still behaving like rabid orangutans, throwing cigarette butts and waste everywhere.
