Depends on point of focus. You can't enlighten aka burn spruce forests with it (needs a dozen to hundred times more power than to destroy human organic tissue), but if you set it onto XY array projection, it basically lights up a whole field by changing the focus to a bigger line and projecting it very quickly over the aimed at length.
It's power output is not that high. And it's blueish-violet in frequency. I build it to use it for 3D scanning purposes, which needs a grid projected onto 3D things for recognition of the depth.
