Are we losing the battle for tolerance?

I have come see in the past few years many countries intensifying the criminalization of our sexuality. In general the disposition of many online communities "furries therians otaku ect" seems to be becoming more puritanical and explicitly anti zoo.

This stuff really depresses me . I check zoo twitter often and I feel like the momentum that anti zoo activism has is snowballing partly spurred on by the aforementioned anti zoo legislation.

I think the torrent of internet backlash originated with the whole kero the wolf situation. He was a monster and his monstrous actions painted our community in a monstrous light as a consequence.
While I definitely have seen some more zooactivism as of recently I feel like it is to little to late perhaps?

I guess I'm curious to know where you all stand with this. Do you think this new wave of anti zoo sentiment will continue with its momentum? Or am I fixating too much on the negatives?

Yes I think the anti-zoo movement will be getting stronger also because I notice the world is going back towards being more religious in many countries.
On one hand banning zoo would possibly help with filtering out the dumb animal fuckers who can not tell the difference between a cat and a dog and the non-zoophile watchers (and fetishists) who openly support commercial zoo porn making that communities everywhere are full of.
The problem with accepting zoophilia is that you would have to define what zoophilia is very well in order to filter out all the people who have other sexual orientations but just really like watching weird porn with women. :D
The people who are not zoophiles meaning they do not have zoosexual orientation (but maybe like watching weird porn) are more prone to suggesting sexual practices with animals that maybe look interesting on video, but are unnecessary or stressful for the animal. That is what I have observed online for the past few years. This is the main driving force behind commerical porn.

On the other hand criminalization of zoo will probably not stop those who are already familiar with breaking the law anyway. So it will only make life more miserable for actual zoophiles who mean no harm.

But do we actually want to allow people to "identify as zoophiles" and do whatever they want with their animals because of that. I can see a lot of bad people abusing such privilege.

You can only loose a battle if you fight.

It's sad that zoo is illegal basicly everywhere, but on the other hand is the world with all its religious bullshit not ready for that. If, for example, the EU suddenly decides, that hey, zoo is legal, the world would be on fire.

I think, a "fight for zoophilie rights" does more harm fo the zoophilie community, than it does good.

To lose (or win) a battle for something, there has to be a battle in the first place. There's never been a "battle for tolerance", and with luck, there never will be - the result is a foregone conclusion. Outside of special case situations, being zoo has almost never been anything but reviled. "Tolerance", even grudging tolerance, has never really been on the radar. The best there's ever really been at any level higher than "one person talking to another" is "I see nothing, hear nothing, know nothing, and don't wanna hear about it, now get the fuck out of here you perverted pile of shit!"

there is no battle... we are just hated and that's that, no point in arguing if it's because anything sexual including an animal on the news being labeled zoophilia or that animals are "icky" or whatever. highly doubtful it'll ever change... unless there's like a leap in technology allowing animals to speak in our language, so they can tell they are not icky themselves

I think the issue is the whole MAP thing (Minor Attracted Person) on Twitter is causing things to get stirred up. No doubt there's a lot of troll accounts trying to make MAPs look as bad as possible by pretending to be them and posting really bad content so people can point out how bad MAP twitter is, and a good way to make people look bad in the eyes of the public is to link MAPs with zoophillia.

I've seen a few MAP twitter accounts where they retweet and post a lot of pro-zoophillia content, and then other accounts saying how bad MAPs are then screenshot those posts and point out how disturbing MAPs are by saying theyre also zoophilies, and then also saying that all these zoophile accounts are clearly on the side of MAPs.

The other thing is the internet is just making things way too fast for sharing information around. With everyone on lockdown due to coronavirus people are using twitter more and more and seeing people making anti-zoo posts and showing them the "horrors" of what zoophiles are supportive of and people feel morally outraged and disgusted so they're going to share that stuff around more as a way to make more people be against zoophiles.

10 years ago, the zoo community has been pretty quiet and didnt have much public presence, but with Twitter allowing anyone too see what people post, more zoophiles will use Twitter and this will get shared around. Before I saw a lot of zoophiles on Tumblr where the community was pretty private, and there was always the occasionall "moral highgrounder" who would spread word about zoophiles, but it was always very low key.

Can you please define what the MAP is? Never heard of it.

There has been a vocal minority for a long time that wants to be out and proud. In the long term, it could possibly work, but it's making lots of bad shit happen in the short term. Fausty was one of the early adopters of this ideal. I still think it's a dumb idea. Before all this, the average person thought people having sex with animals was just a myth and never considered it, Now it's in people's minds and we have to be more careful.

Your last sentence is spot on. I hope a lot of people will read that and understand it.

There ARE quite a number of people who will look at zoo porn, get very turned on by it and start to watch more and more of it.
Then, when around their circle of friends if the topic comes up, or out in society in general, they say things such as, "OMG...that stuff is terrible! Very bad stuff!"
When they get home, they are back online, having another wild orgasm from watching it again.

Here's a concept: Instead of playing along with this "MAP" bullshit, why not call them what they are? Namely, child-fucking pedos. Piss on this "let's try to be polite and call 'em what they wanna be called" garbage, and call them exactly what they are. Fuck politically correct, fuck polite, fuck what they feel on the subject, and fuck them - with a rake. Crosswise. And if they're offended by that, too bad for them - I'm offended by the fact that they're permitted to continue breathing. You don't wanna be called a pedo? Tough shit. That's what you are, and if you don't like that *FACT*, you're welcome to go find a hole, crawl into it, and pull it shut behind you, since you're nothing but a waste of oxygen that could be used by someone or something else that's actually worthy of being alive.

Playing along to let them "rebrand" themselves as something "less offensive sounding" than the kiddie-diddling piles of shit they are is doing nothing but falling into their game. And anybody who's offended by my stance on the topic is welcome to fuck off right along with them.

Question is was there any real tolerance in the first place? Guys fucking sheep is a main stay joke but isn’t taken to heart until someone is seen doing it.
At the point pitchforks and torches come out.

while i do agree with you i also believe there should be some sort of label for the kind of pedos who fully realize what they are and that it's bad and try to do something about it.. let's face it, a person doesn't really get to say who or what turns him on, it's the ones who act on those urges who should get all the hatred.
might be an unpopular opinion, but a pedo should be able to come out us such to seek help without ppl raising pitchforks immediately.

There seems to be a split growing between lawmakers and citizens. I think this because if the growing interest over the last ten years. Many are still fantasists but those will to talk about it on various sites is growing significantly.

This *was* me in my late teens as a Catholic...

In Germany, according to the highest court decision, sex with animals is not banned completely.
Its considered an infringement, if the animal is violently forced, hurted or is drugged or numbed. In this case it can get you fine up to 25000€, about 29462$.
what's an infingement in germany?

In most countries we ban 2d lolita porn, and Lolita sex dolls despite the fact this demonstrably increases the rate of child sexual assaults.

We're more interested in giving people we find disgusting a hard time than actually protecting people or animals. It's a veil for hate, for zoos nothing more. any calls for reason and nuance are traded in for political capital and to divert attention away from the meat industry or failure of social services

I for one find it disgusting we're lumped in with rapists and abusers, when we are nothing of the sort,

We do all sorts of abuses in slaughter houses, but does anyone give a fuck about that? about killing animals for our pleasure? nope, jsut about us cos we like to get fucked by animals. its ridiculous.

I’ve noticed this trend for years. Every single time there is a “movement” to be “out and proud“ it just shines a spotlight on the subject that usually leads to negative attention. In every single case I’ve seen there has never been a single positive outcome. If anything it just strengthens the opposition to anything involving sexual relations with animals, and makes life more risky for anyone who enjoys the topic at hand. There are a lot of folks who need to look outside of their pro zoo echo chambers and get a good dose of reality. It’s also frustrating seeing how many of these “out and proud” folks either don’t own animals themselves, so they have no real skin in the game, or they end up getting busted for truly horrific acts of legitimate animal abuse. These loudmouths are often the worst representations of what true zoophiles actually are, and their actions do nothing but attract negative attention.

I feel so. People aren't tolerant these days and honestly everything in being heavily criticized. I'm content with my secret

I've been saying exactly the same thing - Damn near in these exact words - for years now. Most recently, to and/or about sigmatozoo before his total obsession with "We zoos all gotta stand up and shout how proud we are" tub-thumping drove me to bozo-bin him as not worth bothering to even attempt talking reason with any further.

what's an infingement in germany?
A minor breach of law, not a crime. The actual German term is "Ordnungswidrigkeit" which literally means something "that is against order". But I think legal terms are difficult to translate adequately to English in general due to our legal system being quite different from the legal systems in the English speaking world.
