It's something I've asked myself before but can't find any answers to.
Hypersexuality is essentially excessive or aberrant sexual behavior, although it is sometimes also taken to encompass normal sexual behavior that is misplaced within modern society. [...] Many of the dog owners stated that they were not concerned about seeking treatment for this behavior. This is possibly because this type of behavior is accepted as part and parcel of owning an entire male dog. In fact, some of these traits are normal in male dogs and it is merely a question of severity, frequency and place that makes the behavior unacceptable.
I guess it comes from the way they are bred, not particularly from their high appetite or openness to strangers.Do you know whether this is related to Labradors' insatiable appetite, @MRYP? Maybe even to their openness to strangers? Labradors seem to lack more than one inhibition which other dogs show.
Yeah, I also believe this to be true.I could imagine that accounts of hypersexuality in dogs are sometimes just within the range of normal sexual behavior that some owners feel uncomfortable with though. Many people simply reject to see their pets as sexual beings. For example this article "Hypersexuality in Male Dogs" says:
quote! When it comes to equines Arabian mares are known for having a higher sex drive than other breeds.
Read your post & it got me wondering my doberman bitch used to nuzzel & lick my penis if i was naked she would just come up & do it. Also she would back into me when i was sitting down. Was this a sign she wanted more? and are they known to be more sexual as well?Female Rottweilers seem to have a higher than average sex drive.

I do not think this is something that can be characterized by breed. Dogs are very individual. I believe the more enjoyable you can do it for the dog, the more horny the dog will appear. It's something I've asked myself before but can't find any answers to.
yeah, i think the same on this matter. it's very doubtful any breed was shaped to have higher libido (even as a biproduct of fishing for another trait) considering a "humpy" dog is generally seen as a nuisanceI do not think this is something that can be characterized by breed. Nobody is going to read this in Czech. Use English. Or at least google translator.myslím že každe plemeno je něčím odlišné..
Each breed group is characterized by a certain type of higher nervous activity. For convenience, in our country they are standardized into 5 types. Was this a sign she wanted more? and are they known to be more sexual as well?
agree 100%Labs will fuck you all day if you give them the go-ahead.
They would be just as happy with a bouncy rubber ball, though. Stock up.

All my female Labradors were sexually receptive. The are friendly and great with people in general.Do you know whether this is related to Labradors' insatiable appetite, @MRYP? Maybe even to their openness to strangers? Labradors seem to lack more than one inhibition which other dogs show.
