Since guests can no longer see the forum shouldn't this rule be changed? Is it now okay to put chat handles in threads or since the rules about contacting people are stricter in general is it not okay to put contact info in about section anymore?
 
It should not be changed.
Posting usernames in groups was allowed for to me a mysterious reason as it was not secure either. And trivially simple to obtain if you have an account.

The second reason why it should not be allowed is that these links to groups can potentially contain pedo porn and we are not going to to be responsible for people spreading those on the open forum.
In my opinion you should not be allowed to do that anywhere on the open forum because we can not effectively review them.
If you want to exchange tg handles, do it in PM.

Ok but to clarify then it's still allowed to put handles in your about section? Even if you're under the 30 day rule? Or no?

I may be absolutely blind but I do not see how to report a photo post in a group. I am viewing the site from my phone so maybe that has some bearing. Anyone able to point me in the appropriate direction? I apologize if I'm just being dense.

You arent dense. Navigating some of this is a pain in the patoot. If the post has a number, you can report that to the Desk Mod along with the group name. Ive also reported things like that, when theres no obvious way, by commenting negatively and then reporting my own post. Make sure you give a clear explanation of whats wrong.
