"Boasting" is often performed by those who actualy have no reason to be proud for anything they achived themselves :) I think you would be surprised how many Czech people are here simply not boasting their country so you wouldn´t realize them as Czech :). I would like to think that we are mostly nice, welcoming and open minded people :).... At least some of us :)

All Czechs I know are nice, welcoming and open minded people. Most of them are students however.

I personally don't think there's something wrong with boasting a bit about your nation's achievements. We can be proud of our heritages without bringing other down at the same time
