i would only want one, i think. i don't have a mate right now, but when i find the one in the future i think i would only want to be with them. im more polyamorous with people, but for some reason i would feel strange about doing anything other than devoting my love to who would be my dog.

Multiple, no issue at all. Usually one at a time, as they can get aggressively possessive sometimes.
I only live with my dog but have made myself available to multiple dogs but not at the same time.
I could see being with more than one dog but I'm still to new to know. I definitely liked some videos I saw recently of a girl with a room full of small to medium sized dogs and she bangs it out with two of them

Oh multiple definitely. I would never want to come home to an empty house so I’d have to always have at least 2 in case something happened to 1 of them. I’ve yet to meet my limit though. I’ve lived with 9 before but I’ve never been active with more than 3 in a household, really only ever males. I think ideally I’d have 4-5, although if there’s ever an in heat female around, 3 might be enough. Besides dogs aren’t monogamous and “cheating” is purely a human concept. Of course if I’ll ever have the money to afford even just 3 dogs is a whole other question.
