Sorry I know this is supposed to be for women only but just my 2c. I agree that perverts and dick-pic-senders are a bane to everyone on this forum, you ladies particularly. But nothing is stopping you from enjoying all the other aspects this wonderful place has to offer regardless of the imbalance between genders here.
And if you want a site only for ladies? Go make one?
I don't even want to know what this site cost to establish and maintain and it's availabile to all of us ABSOLUTELY FREE! And the staff get so little gratitude in return. So while I acknowledge that it has it's issues, as every online forum does, I'll be the last person to complain.
Be proactive, get in contact with the staff and voice your issues or something, I don't know. Instead of sitting in a circle saying "ew, men."

Female-only area sounds like a great and safe place. You ladies should make your own group, moderate it, and only let in females:

I am happy with the status quo, in all honesty. I am selective about with whom I correspond. Most of those with whom I do interact are similarly oriented women, with a few notable exceptions.
I do, of course, appreciate that misogyny is rife and those who do message me with a "Hey" or a "How often do your puppos mate with you?" are usually given short shrift. I just ensure my profile bio is current and point them in that direction. After that, we see how we'll get along, if they can be bothered to DM me again.

If you really need a break from men that bad, now we know we can make a group where we don't have to deal with them.
But outside of it, guys still exist, especially on the internet. No one is saying you have to interact with anyone. If they won't leave you alone, that's what staff is for.

I'm new here and still learning to navigate my way around the community. Everyone has been super friendly so far, but the majority of DMs are definitely from guys wanting to strike up a conversation (some with the angle of trying to meet in person some day I guess). I would be far more interested in talking with other women about their experiences, tips, fantasies, etc. but I recognize there are probably a lot fewer women than men on this site.

Pffftt came here in the hope of something positive, cosy, a bit kinky and exciting but find the sempiternel debate of Women Vs Men… all kinds exist and I have no problem with either guys or girls provided they’re respectful and fun, sexism works both ways and it pains me we can’t live all happy together as a community… call me a dumb hippie or idealistic bitch but if it starts to feel like a militant group am not sure it’s for me, and very productive / useful unfortunately ?

Even if they made a site just for women there would be no way to vet people as women anyway. You would have to show an ID and that doesn't bode well considering the subjects they want to talk about LOL. Even then you have the men pretending to be women both on the internet and in real life so it wouldn't matter anyway. Y'all just gonna have to deal with us men being involved no matter what you do

Good idea in theory, but I think it'd be bad in practice.
Verification is hard when you're also trying to respect anonymity. Without expecting people to out who they are... or give someone enough information to be able to figure that out... you'll never be able to create a system that will work. Clever trolls will always get through and then devalue the safe space.
There are plenty who have written stories or talked about their live in threads. You just have to spend time reading the forum to find them and then make the step to start interacting with them. I've had a lot of good interactions in my personal thread ("My Journey" linked in my signature), but it often turns into direct PMs which means none of the other women on the site benefit from the open communication.
The fact is nothing will change until women start talking openly. Yea you'll run into assholes, but they're pretty easy to block and ignore, and the mod team has been great in dealing with them when they arrive. Want more female interaction and discussion...ya just gotta start doing it. Feel free to use my thread as a launching point if you need to.
