Why dont people fill out the about section on their profiles.

Because if I turn off profile access, the About section also disappears.
Because 9 out of 10 people won't click on it anyway, it's in too bad a place.
For months, it was included in my signature not to write PMs and not to follow me, but that's why everything came the same way. People are stupid.

i can understand that. part of the problem for me is im a completionist

i have seen alot of peoples profiles. the majority of them are blank in the about part of the profile. makes no sense to me when you see them in a thread saying they want to get to know others

Its pissing me off so much i want to know more about this random guy who messages me i know you have a dick judging ypu from your pfp but for god sake tell something about yourself. At least 90% of girls have about them in thier profiles...
At least when my bf made this profilr he typed ANYTHING in there...

They should be filled in,as we don't know who we are talking to.
You don't even after put your real name, just which country you're from, age would be helpful, what sex you are, if you're bisexual, curious, straight, lesbian or gay and so on.

I couldn't imagine not filling out the about section on new sites, what if someone wants to know who I am and comes to see an empty profile? I know I always want to know more than there is shared on a lot of profiles around the web heheh..

But, on the question, perhaps it is shyness, or the wish to keep themselves very anonymous?
