Why do furries hate so much on feral drawlings vs anthro?

The most simple response would be; not all furries are zoophiles and not all zoophiles are furries.

People keep mixing them up quite often, which more or less ends up with furries who're not zoophiles an extremely bad reputation online. This aggravates some.

To find an artist for make my dream real between my two sonas is not so easy without the complete hate if this the wrong

Furry artist here, it’s been such a roller coaster recently, like it went from “animal cocks are okay on anthros” to a witch hunt. I’ve been keeping all my acceptable NSFW art to personal circles which has been a big hit to my commissions. I used to love drawing feral on anthro stuff, or X-ray views of the femme anthro characters getting knotted by their partners, now all that’s just for my own personal collection so I don’t get attacked by the younger furs or have anyone key in on me being a zoo.

Make sense honestly.
Then again iv been in on several conversations where the zoo accusation comes up but when asked for evidence none can be provided 99.9% of the time. Like the zoo accusation just seems to be furrys favorite thing to throw out there when they don't like someone.

Yeah it’s more of a deep seated fear then anything, I make my living doing art so if I get ousted from the community I wouldn’t be able to pay my bills. I’ve been thinking of making a second “secret” account to post my raunchier material in hopes of keeping it separate from my main work but I worry my art style would key people in.

True that. Stands to reason it would. I mean you could deny it if asked but that's how shit gets started and rumors catch on.

In my experience, the loud ones have no real power if you just ignore them. If anyone directly accuses you of being a zoo in public, give a single reply calling them a witch hunter and ignore them too.

I can only comment based on my experience moderating a 18+ furry yiff discord. We had a #feral-yiff channel that was pretty popular. In my experience, most furries talked down on zoos and feral art, in order to fit in and not seem like the odd one out. When I would inevitably and confidently steer the conversation towards appreciation of feral art, I found barely anyone would object. So, it would seem like with all groups of people, most want to just stay with whats acceptable in context.

I can't tell you how many "anti-zoo" types would open up and be curious and DM me when I would openly steer topics towards zoo stuff, and it was clear that I wasn't bashing it.

The furries Ive met in these communities, on the whole, are scared, weak willed and desperate to be liked and welcomed in the group. Thats not a jab at them, its just reality. It's really sad sometimes, being a furry and not being able to fit in pretty much anywhere. I took it a step further, a zoo who isnt even into the furry anthro thing, infiltrating a furry community. Once I was inside, I discovered countless closet-zoos that shared the sentiment. To be a twice-ostricized group really opens your mind to whats acceptable and whats just a manufactured reality.

Indeed.

The level of inmaturity... eeven really important mental inestability and real serious depression in the furry fandom is overhelming.
Young people, most desperatelly seeking acceptance, belonging to a group and intimate friendhip. I mean... look how many furs below 20 actually killed or tried to kill themselves! ?

Not like zoo people are much more sane, but the furry thing depends on fantasy never to be fulfilled... so basically, hopeless and finally sad expectations.

While loving and beeing loved by an animal is something reachable and worth working toward that end, which makes us just a little more grounded and centered on a target... in ... most cases ?

I've met countless wonderful people from the furry community, but what yoy said about the majority of them is absolutely true. I think the fandom attracts such types because of how welcoming and abstract it can be. You aren't part or a "social group" that you have to adhere to. Instead, you are a ballooned up 1000 year old dragon with a decidedly canine penis with green stripes, and thats okay because everyone is accepted.

Now, I tend to notice zoo's don't behave in the same ways as furries. For the most part, we know why we are here, what we love, and where we fit in. There isn't that much nuance. I love a dog, but I am a human, I do not want to be a wolf/fox thing, I just want to fuck them ?

I think they HAVE to denounce the zoo side of furries as a furry. It's a face. Whether or not they truly believe that is to be determined outside the vision of the discriminants. I'm surprised there's backlash about animal dicks now. I guess that's another point of confusion for them. They're playing the face of justice and morality to feel better about themselves, I guess.

All these points are more or less true. More with younger furs I've found. A ton of them got into furry through Twitter, where morality signalling is srs bizness. It can take a while for them to realize it's okay to just think animals are attractive without the ridiculous mental gymnastics.

Because, from a near life-long furry, Furries are very judgemental. They're all loving and open arms and all about rights and equality until it comes to things an individual doesn't like. They seem to be very vehemently against the idea that "furry=bestiality" and so are trying to disconnect ferals from it, I suppose, is the reason.

But to me it's stupid as hell when anthros already have animal characteristics that people are lusting over in the first place, or how so many people became Furries because of talking animals on four legs like Simba, Bambi, etc.

EDIT to agree with @kartog above it really is a face that people put on to make it 'look better'. Everybody already thinks Furries are freaks, it's damage control at this point.

Hmm. I had to have a long debate for a week with someone on F-chat once. They had dom/sub concerns and beastilaity concerns.

I worked in the dog. I fucked them. We played computer games together after. I'm that good.

I have ways of getting people to consider they can do more then they think they can.

I’m local and would gladly support your creativity and art! 36f and also wouldn’t be opposed to being the subject of some NSFW niche art as well ;)
