Whelp my friends... it happened

The courts are the place for fighting. We need to put everything we have got into building up a powerful legal fighting machine, and like I keep saying, that kind of thing has to start growing a generation before it can really accomplish anything. For it to work, we need to get building up our strength and resources.

Read the damn bill hxxps://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/724/text

It specifically targets crush videos which are absolutely horrid and traumatizing, and I hope I never have to see another one posted to the front page of 4chan.
I doubt it will change the status quo on regular zoophilia at all. If it makes zoosadists think twice about maiming and killing animals that would be good, but I doubt that will happen either. It will mainly be a tool to get crush videos removed from american websites.

To which news I reply "So fucking what? It's not going to change my behavior with my partners in the slightest."

Why not?

Because, bluntly, I don't hang my sex life out the window for all to see. Which is how *ANYONE*, straight or gay, zoo or not, should be behaving to begin with.

There's a simple recipe to avoid ever running afoul of *ANY* anti-zoo law:

You wanna fuck your dog, or be fucked by him, more power to you. Close the curtains, lock the door, and go to it. Don't post identifiable material online that could let someone - ANYONE - know who or where you are, and don't go running around like an idiot spewing about how you fuck animals. For the horse folk out there, the same thing applies - Latch the barn door, and don't be stupid. Similar common-sense precautions apply to whatever species you get it on with. JUST DON'T BE STUPID! That's really all it takes. Think with the head on your shoulders, not the one behind your zipper. How fucking hard is that to comprehend?!?!?

I want to remind everyone, I came out as gay while gay sex was still punishable as a felony in my state.

In a competently administered police district that puts the security of the people first, local police have better things to do than crack down on victimless crimes.

Admittedly, there are districts where the local police chief has an "idiot white knight" complex, but if that be the case, then that person is probably cracking down on many innocent people. You will hear about it from minorities and from people with chronic pain disorders that are forced onto the gray market as a consequence of the opioid crackdown, and you will hear about it from the homeless. You will see homeless hiding deep in thick bushes instead of lying visible in hopes that someone might eventually help them. When a little Hitler is running things, then half the town suffers.

In the majority of good districts, though, the cops would need to hear many complaints before they even asked you what the hell was going on. I don't even have sex with my human-husband without the curtains drawn, even though I am very much out to all of my neighbors, and they know precisely what "this is my husband" means he and I do on occasion.

It's important for you to be out to a trusted selection of people because, in the event that you did have some idiot white knight issues, you would have someone you could leave your animal with during hours that you have to work, for the animal's safety.

Take some advice from an old queer: never ever come out to somebody unless, without a moment's hesitation, you would acknowledge that person as being a Hell of a lot smarter than you are. I don't know why, but folks that have above-average intelligence or better tend to be very open-minded. Exceptions are cases where they are also really narcissistic and have contempt toward people they perceive as "lazy," as "stupid," or otherwise somehow beneath them. A basic sense of respect for others and a lack of narcissism plus the presence of a lot of things they would be justified, from most people's point-of-view, in being narcissistic about is usually a good sign.

The basic archetype of the type of person that you can almost always feel comfortable coming out to is a young man that is earning his second master's degree at 25 while already working for a nearly six-figure salary, who insists that he can teach advanced mathematics to anybody because he says that people have an exaggerated idea of how hard it really is, and then proves to you that he's actually goddamn right and leaves you feeling a lot smarter and having much higher self-esteem than you did before you met him. And he gives you your first experience with LSD, which he just happens to have available, but he might decide to try DMT on you instead, even though he also has the LSD, because he says "the effects are more amusing." The closer someone is to that, the more likely it is that, if you said, "I am a zoo," you will find out that that that person already knows several of them and their pets. It doesn't have to be an exact match, but my experience is that this is the basic dyed-in-the-wool "can be understanding of anybody that isn't actually intentionally evil" type of person.

Also, you must absolutely avoid anybody that has ever given a flying fuck either way what other people thought of them. If someone has a tendency to measure their self-worth based on how other people perceive them, then their odds of having an "idiot white knight" complex are remarkably higher. A lack of emotional self-sufficiency tends to indicate that someone is likely to be influenced by majoritarianism and to get sucked into witch-hunts. Never ever trust someone that cares even slightly what the world thinks of how they think.

Furthermore, people that rant constantly about politics, whether they are left or right, authoritarian or anarchist, tend to be particularly dangerous types of individuals. Those kinds of self-righteous maggots that believe they have moral authority to judge others over how they think or how they live are worth nothing whatsoever to society. In my experience, an armchair politician that votes for the same party as you is still a fucking armchair politician.

To put that all simply, you can still be out! Just remember there is an important rule: the combination of intelligence, open-mindedness, basic human decency, and emotional self-sufficiency are important things for you to consider when you are deciding what people you ought to come out to first. Build a fortress of those kinds of people into your life, and make them an everyday part of your life. Never let them down. Never stand them up. Those are your best friends, and you ought to follow them.

And avoid armchair politicians.

You need being out to people that you can trust more than ever. Being alone does not make you stronger. It makes you weaker and more vulnerable. While it is true that it's smart to have standards for what kinds of people you come out to, making some people around you aware of your situation ultimately benefits you.

Such as yourself?

(For the record, I didn't even attempt to wade through that wall of gibbering you posted - Why not? Because bluntly I already know you're just running off at the mouth AGAIN about how much you want everbody to jump right up and start hollering for "truth, justice, and the right to fuck your dog in the middle of the town square", exactly as every other rambling wall of text you post has)

Look, dude, here's the concept: Shut up and start practicing what you preach. You want the groundswell to start? Then get your ass out there and start it. So far, all you've done is try to play the "Let's you and him fight" game. You're getting tiresome. If you want to see people jumping up and putting themselves and their animals in peril, maybe you need to shut your mouth and get your ass out there and do what you want everybody else to do.

Come on, buckshot - let's see you put your money where your mouth is!

I am trying to organize locally, for starters. I think that local organization will ultimately be the cornerstone of a grassroots movement.

@UR20Z

I do not think that you fully understand this: I am a veteran of the gay rights movement, and I actually DID come out when there was inherent risk in me doing so. While it was the late 1990's, it was not the late 1990's in the middle of San Francisco, but it was the late 1990's in rural North Carolina, where gay sex was a felony, surrounded by paranoid conservative Protestants that apparently had actual hallucinations of demons, within a reasonable commute of a US Army base.

If you have that experience, you learn to have an instinct what kinds of people are safe to talk to about this sort of thing. I gave a lot of good advice there about identifying people that are actually likely to be helpful, based on me being experienced with this sort of thing.

Us queers came out on the winning side of the last culture war, and we know what we are doing.

So get your ass out there and make it happen. Quit with preaching to the choir here, and put your ass on the line, just like you want everybody else to do. Or shut the fuck up. You're so gonzo about getting everybody else to put themselves in the line of fire, well, show us all exactly how serious you are - get your ass out there and start bitching for zoo rights - put *YOUR* ass on the line. Put *YOUR* animals (if you even have any) in the line of fire. Don't stand here running your mouth about how you want everybody to stand up - ACTUALLY STAND UP YOURSELF. Until you do, you're just beating your gums to no effect.

The PACT Act has been signed, and zoophilia is now illegal across the US
so much for wanting to fight the law :( stay safe everyone

There is already a thread about the PACT Act on this forum:

In addition, there are three other PACT Act duplicate threads:

I don't know why people keep making duplicate threads about this subject.

News organizations such as CNN have been saying that this new law bans sex with animals nationwide. However, it appears that this new law does not specifically ban sex with animals. @ZTHorse and @dogluver101 both have said the law does not mention sex with animals.

However, a concern people should have is that the new federal "animal cruelty" law could be used to target zoos anyway (in the same way that general state-level "animal cruelty" laws have targeted zoos in the past, in instances in which there were no specific anti-zoo laws). For example, in Ohio in early 2010s (before Ohio had an anti-zoo law), a man who had sex with dogs was arrested and charged with "animal cruelty".

HSUS claims that this new "animal cruelty" law will cause online zoo forums to be shut down.

I also mentioned in another thread that President Donald Trump doesn't care about animals, even though he signed this bill. A concern people should have is that, in the near future, what if a specific federal law banning sex with animals is made?

I am on it! I just also talk a lot.

Quit with preaching to the choir here,
You are not the choir. You are the most important people for us to reach, a zoo that is still skeptical about the value of activism, and part of why I think you are skeptical is that you might not fully appreciate how diverse the world of activism really is.

It's not all about doing stuff like making a show like Zooier Than Thou. While that is important to have, it is not the only useful thing that you can do.

Imagine that you met one person, just ONE person, that said to you, "I had a friend that fucked horses, and no matter how many times the police locked him up, he kept going back to it, but he was always my friend," and you decided that you could trust this person and talk to this person. You could let that person know that zoos are not just in trouble from cops, now, but they are in trouble from mentally unbalanced vigilantes that do not really care about the law but only care about injuring someone that is helpless and friendless.

Well, it might feel like you have not really done a whole lot, there, but it does a lot more than you think. Even though you already know that the person you have talked to is a safe enough person because that person had volunteered information that told you it probably was safe to talk to that person, that person would then also know that there are crazy people out there that have nothing better to do than hurt others, and that person would know that those people have been targeting zoos.

It is not all about making public stands or taking heroic risks.

Ask me how much I care. Go on. Ask. I dare you.
Free hint: I don't. Not even the tiniest, most minuscule amount you can possibly imagine. Y'know why? Because THAT WAS THEN. Not now. That was *THAT* cause, not this one.

In this cause, it's not "just" (as if that isn't enough) me (or whoever) standing up and presenting as a target. That's all well and good for us two-leggers. We, should we wish to, can make that decision, knowing what the likely results will be, whether good, bad, or otherwise. But you forget (rather conveniently, it seems to me) that in *THIS* "war", if it can be called that, for every one of us who isn't a lame-ass poser running his mouth to hear himself yap, there's at least one defenseless other involved. An "other" that has no idea what the fighting is about, and even less interest in it. I speak, of course, of our animal partners, be they horse, dog, gerbil, or goldfish. And each and every one of them stands to lose his balls, if not his life, for a completely pointless battle that only *YOU* seem to give a give a shit about fighting!

You're wasting your breath. I don't care when or where it was. Neither factor is relevant to this little fight you're trying to get rolling.

If you have that experience, you learn to have an instinct what kinds of people are safe to talk to about this sort of thing. I gave a lot of good advice there about identifying people that are actually likely to be helpful, based on me being experienced with this sort of thing.

Good for you. Is that going to be any comfort for those who get jailed? Or watch as their partners are taken away, almost certainly to be mutilated and/or killed? So that your campaign for the right to stand up and say "Hey guys, look! I fuck animals!" can move forward?

I don't give a flying shit if you've got a pair of stone tablets with instructions from god himself inscribed on them. You're saying I'm supposed to put myself, and more importantly, my animal partners, who have no idea what the fuck your stupid crusade is about, and even less interest in it, in peril so that you can proudly proclaim to all and sundry that you fuck animals. That's bullshit! Pure, total, absolute fucking BULLSHIT!

Let me put it in terms that you might be able to understand: Fuck you, dude. Take your goddamned crusade and shove it up your ass with the rest of the shit!

The crusade is happening to you, whether you like it or not. You cannot wish it away.
Really? Funny - Nobody is coming after me and/or mine. Nobody who has even the tiniest bit of a hint of something that might be considered control over my life or that of my animals has any idea that we're sexually active together. Nobody (well, of course, I'm discounting the ubiquitous "they" - as in "they" want the world to be thus and so) is doing anything beyond reinforcing something I've known for as long as, perhaps longer than, you've been alive: "Don't ask, don't tell".

Wishing it away, as you put it, is simply my version of "Ferfucksake, would you please just shut the fuck up already! We've heard this song so many times that another playing of it is likely to make me puke!" You keep right on amusing yourself with your little crusade, youngster. Just realize that those of us who have half a clue about the realities involved will be sitting back here in the shadows snickering at your foolishness in between making love with our critters.

@UR20Z

Again, I am 36, and I have lived a more difficult reality than this.

I was a gay guy growing up in the 1990's in a conservative area, surrounded by homophobic violence and police entrapment schemes that targeted gay men, and I came out in the face of that.

As for "shutting up," remember that people can see everything that you post on here. This forum is a public place. They can see your pornography if you have posted any. It is up there for the world to see, in a public place. As long as you have any zooey content that is publicly available, the entire world can access it.

If you do not want the world to see you, then stop posting your rants for the world to see.

The zooey community tried your approach, back in the Beast Forum days. They tried running with your idea of total toxic complacency for a while, hoping that the world would not notice this porn site that was hanging out there in public, for the world to see. The idea was a failure.

If you are posting porn of yourself having sex with your animal on this site or any other zooey site, then you are having sex in the public square, not me.

I talk to people about my zooness, but like I said, I have a method to figuring out which people I can really talk to, which I learned in the 1990's.

It is a very simple rule: you should only attempt to argue with your intellectual superiors. You are actually more likely to win, assuming you are right.

@UR20Z

Again, I am 36, and I have lived a more difficult reality than this.
As I figured - I've got 20 years on you, guy.

I was a gay guy growing up in the 1990's in a conservative area, surrounded by homophobic violence and police entrapment schemes that targeted gay men, and I came out in the face of that.
Good for you. Try not to forget that was JUST you. Any zoo/beasty who's going to out himself is taking any animals he may be partnered with - whether emotionally, or purely by lust - along for the the ride with him when he does. (And as a side note to anybody wanting to get to feeling butt-hurt over me using male pronouns: feel free to get over it)

Can you not see how much different this is from your situation as (using your own wording, I believe and intend in the same sense you did - no insult offered) a queer? Yeah, some assholes were... well... assholes. Personally, I never really had any feeling one way or the other. I tried playing catcher for a human a few different times, and just didn't find much interest, so I didn't do it anymore. Did that turn me into a homophobe? I don't think so. Just a non-participant. My only... how shall I say... Let's call it "unhappiness" as far as gays were concerned involved AIDS. Aside from the fact that I just didn't get much out of it, I did grow a healthy worry about the risk of exchanging fluids with a gay man afflicted with AIDS, whether he was aware he had it or not. But since I'd already essentially given up on operating as a gay bottom, there was no really noticable change in either my attitude or behavior toward gays in general. Beyond that, I was never, and don't expect ever to be, part of the straight vs. "queer" problem. All that having been said, I don't think the whole anti-gay thing is comparable to what zoos/beasties are up against.

I'm looking at the reality, which I have seen the results of, and I damn-well ain't gonna be poking my head up. It ain't fair to my animals, some of whom I love, many of them I have sex with for the pure "Damn! Don't that feel good!" enjoyment of it - hopefully for both parties. All of them, I care too much about, in one way or another, to not have the slightest interest in putting them at risk. I ain't got any right to drag them into this fight that has no significant benefit. Not when doing that means they're all but certain to be seized, sexually mutilated, given to someone else, or outright killed. On top of whatever slammer time they hand me. No, Sunny-Jim, I ain't gonna have that on me. I'll just stay right here where it's (calculated risk) safe for me and my critters. Nothing that can come of what you're hoping for is worth the risk of them coming to harm. I could choose to act if I didn't have ready-made hostages. But I do. And I simply won't put them in that kind of jeopardy.

As for "shutting up," remember that people can see everything that you post on here. This forum is a public place. They can see your pornography if you have posted any. The world sees what I say. The world cannot connect those words to a real person (me) without being at such a high level there's no hope of escaping notice anyway. I know EXACTLY what material of mine exists online, and none of it can be traced back to the physical "me" by anyone but those in realms of spy-tech like I can only boggle over. I won't be going into the details of the methods I have in place to insulate "here on the 'net" from "here in the real world", but I'm as satisfied that they're enough as I ever can be. Thus, I maintain as much anonymity as I know how to make practical.

The zooey community tried your approach, back in the Beast Forum days. They tried running with your idea of total toxic complacency for a while, hoping that the world would not notice this porn site that was hanging out there in public, for the world to see. The idea was a failure.

I've watched the doings of zoophilia/bestiality online for... Hmmm... Pretty close to 32 years now. Sheesh - I haven't actually thought about how long I've had an online presence in ages. Where did the time go??? Anyway, my point being, I've seen 'em come, and I've seen 'em go. Activists get sounding off, and something gets done. Usually a new zoo law. Sometimes other bad things. Mr. Hands comes along and all hell breaks loose. Before that, the fiasco with Equamour/fetty/PonyPusher that came *WAY* too close to being a knife murder - I was physically present to witness that bit of fun - The first and last zoo-related group get-together I ever tried to attend - and his mother, StarFire, DogLover - the one who "reformed" from being an activist - he signed himself "-- zoophile and proud OF it" and was vocal, much as you are, about "let's get the grassroots growing, let's make 'em all accept us!". Eventually, when he couldn't get any significant traction among the various online places zoos congregated, he stomped off with the equivalent of a thundercloud over his head and sputtering how he was going to get us all. He "went over to the dark side", you might say, and started doxxing (long before it was actually called doxxing) or attempting to, zoos and beasties alike. Accounts vary, and I can't personally claim to know for certain, but claims were made that said he actually got as many as 3 people busted, and can be called responsible for at least 6 anti-zoo laws, and indirectly responsible for another 4. So yeah, I've been around.

Beastforum was just another in a long string of zoo/beasty ... Eh, call 'em "contact points"... down through the years. Granted, it ended up being the longest-lived, to date, but that doesn't mean it was worth much, especially in the last 2-3 years.

Through all of the time I've been online, the only thing that I've ever seen zoo "activists" accomplish has been to stir up more trouble for those of us who prefer to keep our heads down and our critters safe.

If you are posting porn of yourself having sex with your animal on this site or any other zooey site, then you are having sex in the public square, not me.

I talk to people about my zooness, but like I said, I have a method to figuring out which people I can really talk to, which I learned in the 1990's.

As I've said, I know exactly what material I have "out there". And I'm as certain as it's possible to be that it cannot be linked back to me, the physical person sitting here at the keyboard typing this message.

You wanna talk to people about your zooness, that's your bag, and welcome to it. The entire idea of asking others to do so is... its... It's just fucking NUTS, guy! You've gotta be out of your fucking head! Why in the name of whatever you call holy would you want to drag me and my animals into your crazy little exercise in futility? It ain't enough that we're already under constant threat of outting and the complete clusterfuck that would cause for them? For me? No, bub, it just ain't happening. Not if I can help it.

It is a very simple rule: you should only attempt to argue with your intellectual superiors. You are actually more likely to win, assuming you are right.
Izzat a variant on the one that goes "Don't argue with an idiot - He'll just drag you down to his level and beat you with experience"? :)

Actually, I shouldn't discourage you. That was the most information that I have gotten lately about what's been going on.

Okay, Boomer.
Congratulations, son. With those two words, you just turned a "maybe not friendly, but at least not actively hostile" into full-blown enemy combatant.

You screwed the pooch real good, boy. And not in the pleasant way that phrase is usually meant around here.

Be seeing you...

It's not my fault you are getting old and have nothing better to do than bully younger people that at least didn't participate in completely fucking up something as simple as maintaining a positive relationship with society. Your generation fucked up, not mine. This is your people's fault, not my people's fault. You are going to find an increasing number of Millennial zoos getting tired of being bullied by people like you.
