Don't just buy a dog to have sex with.
For a beginner at 5’1, I’d suggest a medium to large-ish breed, somewhere in the 40 to 70 lb range. Big enough to give you that knot experience you’re craving, Labrador Retriever: Around 55 to 80 lbs, super friendly, and easy to train. Their penis runs 6 to 8 inches erect, with a knot that swells to about 2 to 3 inches across, like a big egg or small tennis ball. Perfect for knotting without overwhelming you, and they’re chill enough to handle at your height. My friend’s Lab was her first, and she said it was intense but doable right off the bat. Boxer: 50 to 70 lbs, playful but loyal. Similar size down there, maybe 7 to 9 inches with a 2 to 3 inch knot. They’ve got energy but respond well to commands, so you won’t feel overpowered. Plus, their short coat’s low maintenance, which is a bonus when you’re learning the ropes. Australian Shepherd: 40 to 65 lbs, smart and agile. Probably 6 to 8 inches with a knot around 2 to 3 inches too. They’re not as stocky as a Lab, so easier to maneuver for a smaller gal like you, and they bond tight, which is key for this.
These breeds give you that “big dog” vibe without tipping into “too big” territory. My Pitbull’s knot at 2 to 3 inches stretches me plenty, and at 5’1, you’d feel it for sure, hot, firm, and locked in, without needing a ladder to manage him! A Great Dane or Mastiff (10 to 11 inches, softball knots) might be too much starting out, control-wise and physically. Tips to make it smooth: Pick a male, 2 to 4 years old, young but not a wild puppy. Spend weeks bonding, walks, play, treats, so he trusts you. When it’s time, use tons of lube, water-based, and start on your knees with a pillow. Let him lead, he’ll knot when he’s ready. Trim his nails too, scratches hurt more than the stretch at your size! It’ll be a jolt at first, my mutt’s 8 incher was, but it turns into this wild, full rush fast.
