What type and color underwear are you wearing?

The Lorena Bobbitt Story was a famous public case where Lorena, cut off her husband's penis while he slept, after he raped her earlier in the day and according to her, repeatedly throughout their marriage. That happened in the early 90's and was a big deal, dominating the evening news for a quite a while.

There were many, many claims and witnesses about her emotional instability, and roughly an equal number of claims and witnesses about his abuse. The case brought marital rape and violence to light because of the air time of their story. The end result was she was convicted and served her time, her husband was acquitted and was accused of similar things years later in other relationships.

Which is what happens when two emotionally unwell people get married.
TY I hadn't heard that story.

Well, clearly she was.

I thought she was given 10 years or so? Was her acquittal from an appeal afterwards?
I think, because it was "By insanity" she went to the "hospital" for evaluation, I want to say 45 or 60 days? Can't remember which.......but, after that, I think free to go.

The media had her practically sitting in THE CHAIR for most of their coverage though, and I always thought she went to prison too because I tuned it out after the first year.......

I only recently, within the past year, watched a netflix thing called Lorena.......worth a watch, for a LOT of reasons.

Yeah, that was totally predictable.
They reattached it, and apparently it was not unuseable. He made some porn flicks, for novelty value. She went into a Mental facility for 45 days, the limit under Va. Law, for observation. Her insanity was considered temporary. She did not serve additional time. She was originally an Ecuadoran, raised in Venezuela...in day to day life shes back to her maiden name, but there've been a couple of documentaries based on her, of recent vintage. She has been involved in Domestic Violence Prevention off and on, and has a couple of kids.

John"s been all over the map, and in and out of the jug pretty regularly. Domestic Violence seems to be his norm.
