What the best dog breed to have as your first partner

Just curious and wanted to know what dog breeds would make a good companion as a first

Depends what dogs you like, laboradors, husky, gsd, border collie might be good ideas

Something to look into is How good of a dog trainer will you be? Do you know what marker training is? Do you know how to be the Alpha? Being the Alpha is everything. My golden girl came to me at 2.5 years old Totally untrained. She was a failed breeder's bitch. Intact. She did not have recall, sit, or stay commands. I had to train her. Any dog you get will need to be trained, just to live in your house. If the dog pulls on the lead, they think they are the Alpha.

So if you are at work 8+ hours a day, get your dog a crate. A crate will give your dog a home while you are gone. And your home will be MUCH neater.

So as a first time dog owner for sex or companionship, get a larger retriever, Golden. Lab, Flat coated etc or get a Sheppard any kind of sheppard. Both types of dog breeds are easily trained and make good companion dogs.

So a year later my girl is glued to my side. Follows me every where I go. She will lay outside the Bathroom while I am inside. As I type this she is laying down on my couch with her head laying on my hip. If I rub her belly/nipples she will lay on her back so I can rub her vulva, then finger her. If you need help training your choice, I can point you in the right direction.

The perfect breed is the one you can live with and love for the next 15-20 years,whether or not the relationship you want happens. Not all dogs are interested. They are about as individual as humans are.
