In my high school we held an annual lipsync competition. Junior year my floor won by doing the Time Warp, then as we were all laying on the stage after collapsing we jumped up and burst into a Lord of the Dance line, with 1 guy (who had been the old guy in front of the step diagram board) in a purple silk shirt doing Micheal Flatley high kicks across the stage.

The coolest thing that ever happened musically at my highschool was during a talent show. A friend of mine and his band played Cake - I will survive and didn't censor the "should have changed those fuckin locks" line.

It was, but I don't have a copy of the show from that year. I do have the one from senior year through. The same guy who thought of our winning number junior year (the Micheal Flately) thought of the winning number senior year. They did Men in Tights, complete with the over the arm flip.

I still remember his name, hell, he's the one who gave me my first SNES emulator, though of course won't say his name here.

Senior year there was also a pair of black guys, one really short, the other huge, who everyone joked looked like each other. So they did Austin Powers Just the Two of Us.
