Hang on, if they recorded it in 1959, why did that other video list it as one of Buddy Holly's hits? I'm very confused now...

Because when Holley split from them they got the name. He was so associated with them that he slipped in and recorded that with the intent of having more than one record in the charts at the same period. Some deejays wouldnt play more than one record by a charting group or artist at a time. When he passed, it was in process of release already.
