Agreed, they are priceless... but it's still handy to have some notion of how much you need to care for your critter. Nothing sadder than everyone getting attached, then finding out you can't care for them properly.

LIFES not cheep and if your being cheep ...this also should change, good food and love attitude and attention vet bills makes for a longer happier life for you both ...R.E.S.P.E.C.T YOU LIFE AND LOVERS & PETS

WE ALL DESERVE A GOOD LIFE

Let me check my notes...
First year is most costly because of vet costs, as well as equipment, fencing, cost of the animal itself, etc you need to buy, both used and finally useless.
Then comes year costs which is what I will count. Then those old years with health costs skyrocketing.

So...
- Goats
__First year:
....Used: 370€
....Unused equipment 510€
....Costs: 120€ each animal
__Other years
....Used: 0
....Unused: 0
....Costs: 85€ - 100€ per animal

-Dogs
__First year:
.....Used: 476€
.....Unused: 23€
.....Costs: 1033€
__Other years :
.....Used: 15,75€
.....Unused: 0
.....Costs: 800€ - 975€

-Equides (still settling, so extrapolating a first year here)
__First year:
.....Used: 402,96€ (includes animal purchase)
.....Not used: 11€
.....Costs: 400€. - 500€ per animal ?

There are occasionally rabbits at about zero cost And the big bill comes from car and fuel to travel a few days a week
