Like few people mentioned before, best way is to teach a dog that there is specific place for having fun together - your bedroom or other place not visited frequently by daughter. It's it's important that you are in command ;3 Teach your daughter to scold a dog if he's getting to fond of her. That way he should learn what he can and cannot do. Best luck

As said. It is all in teaching the dog. Be sure you are the dog's boss, not vice versa. Set limits wisely. Ask some education help if you are not used to handle dogs or have problems to control him and all should be fine. Dogs are clever and learn really quick.
Be careful the other way round, because kids are also way too clever. way too clever indeed and have odd ideas.

My daughter is 9. I would be terrified of her seeing me do anything like that. But when i really think about it, i have to ask myself who i am, what i want and what i am trying to teach or avoid teaching her.

O ideal é você conseguir um cachorro com no máximo 5 meses de idade (ainda não maduro sexualmente) para ele começar a conviver com você e sua filha e começar a diferenciar o seu comportamento do comportamento de sua filha e criar laços de amizade diferentes entre vocês 3.
Além da convivência normal do dia a dia a partir do 6 ou 7 mês você pode evoluir as brincadeiras com ele para ele começar a entender e despertar interesse sexual por você, recomendo que nessa fase você escolha um local da casa que ele não tenha acesso constante e começe a estimular ele brincando com ele, tocando na barriga, deixando ele te lamber, provocando e se esfregou nele e circulando em volta dele como se fosse uma cadelinha, faça isso sempre na ausência de sua filha e com o tempo ele irá entender o que você quer fazer com ele.
Recomendo que na presença da sua filha você também brinque com ele mas tem que deixar claro que existe o momento das brincadeiras em família e que existe o momento das brincadeiras entre você e ele apenas, para ele aprender a separar os momentos íntimos entre voce e ele dos momentos familiares, e assim não fazer você passar por momentos estranhos na frente da sua filha ou de outras pessoas. OBS.: Os cachorros amadurecem sexualmente a partir de 6 meses de idade, mas a melhor idade para acasalar com eles é a partir de 9 meses que é quando aumenta o desejo sexual deles e com as brincadeiras ele vai começar a ver você como sendo uma cadelinha dele ok, antes dos 9 meses de idade a maioria dos cachorros só pensam em brincar.

Adopting a dog or not is the only question you can really address ahead of time. Anything intimate depends on the personality and behaviour of the dog, so you might never even have the opportunity to worry about hiding anything in the first place. The most important consideration is whether you want the dog even if he's not interested in you. If you don't want him regardless, then it's probably best not to pursue getting a dog into your household in the first place.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...... why shouldn't you be able to enjoy pleasure of your own making, irregardless of having a child? People do it all the time - but it's most important that you have a lock on your door, and make it normal for the dog to sleep in your room. Just my opinion....
