Being a fetishist isn't necessarily against the rules, even if they're more likely to be the ones that end up eventually getting banned for actually breaking the rules.

The DF is a *mostly* free speech section of the forum. I, for one, am quite oriented towards the left. But I do think employing a bunch of "lefty clones" would do this site a disservice. Having people with all manners of perspectives and political alignments is ultimately a good thing. It allows me to step outside of my own echo chambers, consider other points of view, and think outside of the box. It allows for honest discussions, including disagreements, to arise in a constructive manner with the site's operation. If we had nothing but left leaning staff this site would become a bubble, and you know what happens to bubbles? They eventually bust. So I hate to burst your bubble, but you're going to have to live with the fact that there are people out there that you disagree with.
There's a warning when you click on the the DF section for a reason. Blatant transphobic, discriminatory, sexist, racist, etc. speech is removed from the general sections when it's reported or I come across it.
That all said, the mods are rule enforcers, and I do believe they do so without discrimination. A trans/black/loud-mouthed/Argentinian/weed smoker with be subject to the same rules as a conservative/white/meek/Canadian/anti-weed user on the forum without ideological discrimination. That said, mods can express their own opinions in the appropriate section of the forum.

That's ultimately their decision to make. I've made it clear that this forum is pretty much the "Wal-Mart" equivalent of zoo forums. It is
the hub, but not the hub for everyone.

Nobody has ever said that this site is perfect. It's most certainly not. We get around ~1,500 posts a day, have over ~9,500 active daily users, and have over 240,000 registered users. This forum is huge, and when a site gets this large imperfections will begin to slip through the cracks. It happened under ZT and will happen under me. Just look at Facebook or X. We're herding cats here.
