Question marks in statements? Is this a new thing?

I have noticed this occurring more and more lately and am curious if this is a new trend that I have missed out on.

People are making a statement and ending it with a question mark.

As an example:

"I love this?", "That is hot?", "Wish it were me?", "Your body is rocking?", etc.

I am genuinely curious about that origin and meaning. I know that the written word is currently in an evolution because of texting and social media, but this one is new to me.

theres a question mark after their declaration of a object of their desire? thats weird.

a question mark means that a question asked or uncertainty.

Fair point and I did wonder if the intent was to express a question in some instances, but they don't make sense in most cases. I think Dartel may be right that it is a broken emoji.
 
I always assumed it was some regional quirk. So many porn centric topics, even those months or years old, are filled with stuff like "great video ?" Or "Thanks for the upload ?" Which I found odd because, at least in Spanish, questions have punctuation to begin and end a question.
 
ohhhh THAT kind of question mark... the "?" COULD mean a mystery emoji. remember when people asked for more emojis like vomit and such? well before that the "?" could be the default before a actual emoji art takes its place.
