Hello @msc05 , It's great to see people like you that are so respectful of the non-human animals in their lives.

As far as getting infections from your dog, I'd like to share 2 things:

1st, as long as you keep your dog healthy... (vaccinations, regular visits to the vet, quality food and clean water) you honestly have nothing to worry about.

2nd, any "Zoonotic" infections, that you may "theoretically" be exposed to, does not require sexual copulation with your dog. Just petting them can be enough to transmit a number of them; others are transmitted by saliva (licking your hand/face) and by aerosol (the dog simply breathing in your house). My point is simply, dogs wouldn't be so common in our homes and everyday lives, with our young children and the elderly, if there was any meaningful risk to your health and that of your loved ones (your wife, etc.).

Consider this... I have been around dogs in my home since I was in diapers, and sexually active with them on a daily basis for 51 years, and I have never had any "Zoonotic" infections. Ever. In-fact, it's commonly known that living with dogs makes our human immune systems stronger, thereby keeping us healthier, longer.

I've been mostly lurking in here for some time until now that I have gathered the courage to act on my desires. I have a female bulldog that I have slowly taken my first steps with. Yes they can. One must be careful of the fit on his penis... if it's not quite tight enough, she could pull it loose/off if she's the kind of dog that grabs your penis real hard. Some dogs do, some dogs don't.

Are you concerned about diseases? If you have an inside dog, all vaccinations, good food and water, and the dog is healthy, there really is no reason for the protection. I've been having bare, raw sex with female dogs for a few decades and have never had any problems whatsoever.

Ah, yes. There you have chances of getting something. Because of the threesome and having another human.

While few things will jump from dog to/from humans, if you touch a recent human smear there are chances of catching something nasty (think as in second hand condom)

So, nothing wrong, but make sure your friend is healthy and the dog is not usually passed along to everyone.

A small update. I tried cubbing her vulva and rubbing just in front of it. No shaking legs but it felt as if she kinda exposed her vulva more towards me at some point. If you feel you must use one, before just going for it, you can check for an allergy by putting a condom on your fingers and maybe rubbing a small area of their gums to check for a reaction as time goes on with monitoring. It's a lot easier to explain to your vet that your dog ate your condoms and now has irritation in their mouth, versus finding out during sex and trying to explain a reaction on their penis or vulva.

Why do you think you need to use a condom? I have gone years not using them with dogs if catching something from them is what you're worried about. As long as the dog you're with is healthy, cared for, up to date on shots, etc. You don't have much to worry about. Zoonosis is possible, but very rare.
