Simple solution there, Fuck off. Do not stay somewhere if your life is in genuine danger.
Being poor prevents that. I'd face more danger living on the street as a homeless. And sadly enough I do have to face the prospect of "legal" abuse as well, so I'm shit out of luck on that.

If homelessness leads to death your survival skills are SHIIIIIIIIIT.
Even if I manage to survive they U.S. government would notice me into a jail cell solely for the "crime" of being homeless. Then they cycle of poverty would begin.
