Another with a beautiful face, don't think they would have the same appeal in color.

I think they are beautiful, full stop, colour or black and white! But the contrasts in b & w does add a certain frisson.

Buteo Jamaicensis, The Red Tailed Hawk....probably the most commonly seen Hawk in Northern Nevada....these are BIG Hawks....and awesome to see hit a squirrel.....Those big Talons act as constrictors....so the prey suffocates.
