'The Pink Tunic', 1927. Tamara de Lempicka, of course....This is my new favorite among her paintings. That monumental quality is so different from her contemporaries.

The Model's name was listed in the Artist's book simply as 'Rafaela'. Though she posed for seven or eight of de Lempicka's works, the last name remains unknown.

'Heliogabalus' Roses', 1888. Lawrence Alma-Tadema. The story here, a bit Outrè, is of a very young Roman Emperor who gave a Banquet at which the guests were inundated with Rose Petals that suffocated a number of them.
