Shirley Patterson, 1940s Miss Cali, who was disqualified for being under age. Born on December 26th, 1922, she was only 17 at the time of the Pageant. Runner-up that year took the Cali Crown to the Miss America pageant and Won.
This pic is a couple of years later, when she was a B- flick Star. Her career ended due to a horribly-shattered leg which took 18 months to heal ... by that time Hollywood had found other stars to promote. Sounds like the Queen of Hard Luck
