Opinions on strays?

They can be great dogs themselves idk about partners though tbh my family has taken in a few strays we found when I was a young kid

I've always dreamed about rescuing a stray and falling in love with them.
But i have somehow never seen a full stray dog in my entire life. I've found lost dogs. But i never had a stranger over for longer than a day. Hours really.

I do like to keep an eye out for anything in distress though. If i took one in, and after a good meal and non negotiable bath, he or she showed interest... I wouldn't say no!

Ill just tell you the verious opinions about it
1. say its exploitative, using the dog while not really caring to its needs or him as a living creature
2. say that everyone gets from it what they want and the dog doesnt get hurt, on the opposite, he gots something that makes him feel good
 
Objectively speaking, there's no harm done by having consensual sex with a stray. They get pleasure out of it and it doesn't make their situation any worse/harm them in any way. But personally I think it's a pretty POS move to take the time to fuck a dog but not take that time to at least bring them in to a shelter.

I have that same fantasy. I casually knew someone once (non-zoo) who had an incredibly sweet intact stray dog quite literally show up at their door and they kept him. Some people are just so damn lucky.

Considering how much I love animals to my last dying breath I don't do pump and dump it's effectively abusing and taking advantage of them and it's scummy to say the least if anything I would adopt them and love them until the terrible day I'd have to say goodbye to them forever more and send them across the Rainbow Road Strays break my heart I want to help them but I know my budget if I could I clone my self a thousand times just to adopt every single one of them and love on them even if I never even was intimate with it it would mean they had companion who love them no matter the cost I recently took in three stray puppies had no intention of doing anything to them and when they died of parvo I cried so horribly I only had them for a week and a half they were snuggly they were adorable and affectionate my cats love them my dogs love them a horse love them and when everyone loves these little fur babies and they pass away it destroys my heart and they were Strays anyone who just wants to do that pump and dump needs to be taken out back and a yardstick to their legs

what you would call a situation a friend of mine had- she was in a forien land visiting, she was at a desert party, she went to pee and saw a stray dog watching her, they had sex and each went thier seperate ways

I am not her father or owner, she is on her own. so what you say is that even if she is far from home and sleep with a random stray thats abuse or exploiting the dog that doesnt get anything positive from it?

That comes across more as a i lured a dog with my urine as a beverage in the desert dogs don't exactly come by water as much as humans it sounds to me like the poor dog was lured in by what it perceived to be drinkable fluids and was used as coercion to get sexual favors in exchange for urine to drink to hydrate itself I kind of sounds messed up it's like paying a desperate crackhead money to suck your dick

dogs dont make "deals" like that, you are humanizing dog behavior, i never said he even came to her when she peed. I said she went to pee, then she saw a dog looking at her, she was horny and probebly she presented her pussy to him and he did the rest. she never told me he licked her urine or something, and the point of the question was - "does sleeping with a stray in a forien country is still abuse because you cant take him home?"

Honestly I don't know the full story and it sounds like neither do you but from a standpoint part of training dogs is convincing them using reinforcement of treats and what they want to get them do what you want yes you can cause a dog with positive reinforcement that's the whole point of training them to be housebroken or to train them to warn you when someone's around or help find someone when your need is dire
 
Commenting on the current discussion first. So she had sex with the dog. She was at a party. Why didn't she try to get someone who was from there to help the dog or try to find any place or person that would take the dog. I'm guessing alcohol was involved and impaired judgment but that isn't an excuse perhaps part of a reason. Most people have done things or not done things they regret or even know aren't good but that is where people should learn and grow and do better. Saying it is okay to let yourself or someone else off the hook isn't helpful though.
 
Now to the original question. Strays can make wonderful companions although they often come with a lot of baggage and not everyone is suited to handle that. Some are accustomed to living as a stray and may find living inside difficult. Each person has to make those choices of what they can handle on their own.
As far as having sex with one it depends on the situation and definition of stray. If you find a dog. That dog may have been dumped but also that dog may be lost and someone is looking for them. If you can get close enough to a dog to have sex I feel you also can try to find out if they have a person or family. If they have someone having sex with that dog may teach them a behavior that can lead to problems when they return to their person who may not want that.
When I was in my teens I did do things with some of the neighborhood "strays". These were dogs that their people let roam especially at night. Some of them were under fed and not groomed. I brushed them and fed them and gave them a place they wouldn't be hit by cars and be safe. Some of them stayed near my house the entire night. Some I did nothing sexual with and some were quite clear that they wanted to. I wouldn't consider it right and I know one ended up getting nurtured because of the behaviors he started showing. Which was around the time I stopped being sexual with new ones. Though some of the ones that had been around for a while and did not seem to have any issues from it I continued. I know people get tempted and get lost in the moment but a lot of what defines a person is what they do after that.

I think you are underestimating dogs in one way and over estimating them in another
even if it is a stray, if it healthy, it can literaly just see a pussy, smell it and start humping
its not complicated nor does it need over philoshping

Maybe it's just the possibility that I have standards about engagement in sexual activity I don't take advantage of an animal's desire I'm an intimate person that likes to have Intimate Relationships not quickies and pump and dumps I hate it with humans and I hate it with others
