I don't know who hurt you, and I'm deeply saddened by your anger towards the country. But nobody is at my door telling me what to do. Even if they were I probably still wouldn't listen. I'm free, and in America, you're only oppressed as much as you allow yourself to be.

I don't live there, so don't have any grounds to enter this discussion, but just how many states allow you to be openly zoo without the risk of jail time? Freedom is a funny thing. Sometimes the bird doesn't know it's in a cage, if that is all it knows.
However I still agree with you anyway, you are always free in your own mind what you do with that freedom is a the end of the day up to you. Do you spread hate or war, are your action dictated by greed, or do you strive to help others and to build bridges to unite us all.
I have worked hard for my patch of land and would fight if someone tried to take my land from me, but none of us own anything it is all just on loan to us, to be passed on to another, so they can pass it on to the one that comes after them.
As a species we have one main job: To not wreck the planet so that all the other inhabitants no matter how many legs they have can survive to see tomorrow, and tomorrows tomorrow. At the moment we are failing at that. if the planet is unlivable in 100 years time does it really matter what country we live in or what political policies we think are best for the economy or whatever.
Having seen how with the will amazing things can happen like the rapid development of a covid vaccine, wouldn't it be nice if we all could come together as humans and fix the other major problems that we face these days. But alas I guess we will continue squabbling like little children about who loves who, what colour their skin is and where we will end up when our bodies have warn out.

you do realize you guys still have the worst medical system (and still call yourselves a first world country) in the world? not to mention the stupid measurement system you still use or how you write dates.. is that what your "free" is? free to go bankrupt from medical bills and measure stuff in elbows or whatever?

Hey you don't have to live here to be part of the conversation, I believe everyone should have the same basic freedoms and respect for such as I do. Especially when it comes to speaking your mind. No matter who you are or where you live. I get it, being openly zoo isn't legal pretty much anywhere (though to my knowledge there's still no law specifically against it in New mexico). But, it seems most would rather keep that bit hidden anyway vs have a parade about it. While it's not legal, there's plenty of other things that aren't legal like speeding or smoking grass in some places that people do anyway. In America, unconstitutional laws are null and void. I don't really care what laws are passed to be honest. I live by my own value system, I treat people with respect and do my best to be a good person while fully recognizing I'm not perfect. That and do my best to stay out of trouble. That's all you can really do with the way the world is today. The only cage I'm in doesn't keep me in, it keeps others out.
You get it, at the end of the day you choose your own level of freedom. Even if it means fighting for what's yours. Even if what's yours is temporary. I would never spread hate or war. But I won't let anyone walk all over me or mine either. I'd much rather see everyone be able to unite, even if they still disagree with each other. That's the problem with most people today. Almost nobody is willing to hear out the other side. Certainly won't admit being wrong.
I have repect for the earth, it's sad not all of us do. But I think the only way the world will be gone in 100 years is if the earth itself decides to shake us off like a bunch of fleas. I think it's just human nature to think we have any real affect on that outcome, we're all nothing compared to what the planet can do if it wants to. There's only one other group besides politicians that say the world will end if you don't do exactly as they say, and that's super villians in the movies.
What does the medical system or how I measure things have to do with being free? In my previous response I mentioned everyone should be free. Some people outside of the US could probably go to jail for posting what you asked me if directed at their government instead of mine. That's not free in my eyes.

You don’t seem to understand that freedom isn’t really free. Or can comprehend what free really is. Just having speech and the right to firearm ownership tops the list of a free country. Nothin is perfect by far. But the document holds higher then most. If non of it was true the influx of people getting on the boat wouldn’t be true. Go to south Florida and ask any Cuban why they are here.

we (czech republic) get our share of foreigners looking for greener grass too.. lots of easterners at my work place these past years. doesn't make me go around spewing how "free" and bestest my country is, it isn't. there just are countries that have it worse....

You are right about firearms ownership. However to what extent? Is it a written amendment? If not, like laws, that can change. We also have to a lesser extent, less restrictions on what can be owned. Depending on where you live of course.
