I have had a few dogs snap out of that hyper submissiveness. One of my current dogs, Bones. he was in rough shape when I found him sickly malnourished and obviously abused. When ever a new dog shows up here a test to see what kind of animal I am working with is to raise my hand like I may hit them( I never have) Bones would curl up and make him self small as possible a good indicator that he was beaten. I never touched him sexually once he got healthy. But when I would play with the others I would present to him. Eventually I just resigned that mine and his relationship was platonic. However I did keep up building his confidence and one days during a mating session with the others Bones stepped up and took a turn too. He is though one of only a few that have come around.
May I ask why he is blind ? old age injury ?
